Yzerman GM in Chicago soon?

Maybe it's a plan for Yzerman to go sign there and he could trade Hossa back to Detroit, let Kane and Toews walk ...

Wow all ready having Bowman joining that organization was a bad step for us even if it's a consultant position. It's obvious Chicago has there eyes on the Wings management and they've been trying to bring atmosphere to Chicago.

Yzerman = Jesus

He wouldnt go to Chicago for breakfast let alone to be the Hawks GM.

lmao... if he did go he wouldn't be known as Jesus for long... but he would go by another "J" name..... Judas :P

I think Jim Nill would get first crack at that, unless he leaves the organization. Yzerman would then be the Assistant GM.

this is exactly why he WILL be a gm with another team...maybe the hawks....ewwww. if stevie goes it won't change what he means to the red wings.

I was almost going to make a new thread the other day asking WHY does Chicago seem to always want our guys? Can't they build their own legacy instead of trying to steal ours?

What's next, they gonna want to steal our "Hockeytown" reputation/heritage and take our Octopi history.

Whoa, just took a peek over at the Hawks board and it seems that Chicago's management is having major meltdowns and powerstruggles in their management and office. Blackhawks are imploding from within... This is too ******* hilarious. Hossa is probably the main factor destroying their organization, and he will be the cause that Hawks' future is going to be f***ed. What a cancer, glad he's gone, cause that could be us right now... well doubt that since our Org is class act, but it would have been very stressful for our management to sort out all the depth issues and losses.

Chicago f***ed themselves. The cancer will lead into the locker room, bank it!

Calling Hossa a cancer is a new low by LGW standards. None of his teammates in any organization have ever had anything bad to say about him, save for Max Talbot, who can't help but run his mouth and score his 20 regular season points.

The organization may be classy, but you couldn't locate class in a Ritz Carlton. Stop acting like a spurned child. Christ, the pathetic behavior of some of you here never ceases to amaze me.

If that was true it would be epic, in a bad way of course... what a slap to the face to the wings nation :P

I think it was Pratt from the Team 1040 Vancouver was in Chicago for the Canucks/Hawks series and when asked if he thought certain things were a result of Bowman and Quennville teaming up, Pratt quickly and emphatically responded saying, " NO."

When the radio guy in Vancouver responded asking "NO?", Pratt said, "All I'm going to say about it is NO." Radio guy says, "But Scotty Bowman is the consultant and wouldn't Quennville want to tap into all that hockey knowledge?" Pratt, again, "No., and thats all I'm gonna say about it". He obviously saw or heard things that he didn't want to repeat on the air regarding their situation. Pratts an old school hockey guy (for a radio personality anyway) and and feels discretion is the better part of valour, even in radio. He'll protect certain privacies of the players and coaches.

The only thing I really saw was Bowman jumping out of his seat when Campbell got caught way down low and CLeary? or somebody got a break away and scored. You could see Bowman was furious and kept shouting at someone else in the booth and pointing to where Campbell was so far down low for a Dman on the ice. Edit: Or was that agianst Vancouver, hell, I can't remember.

I can easily see Q having a lot of resentment for Bowman and them not getting along, or e ven communicating effectively for that matter. And Bowman is not the easiest guy to get along with anyway. I do kinda hope that experiment doesn't work out.
