I can dig it. There are definitely a lot of interesting line combinations

Bertuzzi can play either Wing. Doubt he'll center a line though.

Swap Bertuzzi w/ Williams.

And then swap Williams with Maltby and we're done! Better yet, send Williams to GR and bring up Abdelkader in his place

Sorry. I didn't specifically think positions ala center or winger, rather who might be playing with whom. Anyway, I think that Williams is going to be playing the "sniper"/scorer of the second line, and Bertuzzi is going to be more of a drive the net and open space for Leino role, for whatever he can muster in his current status. Who knows where they'll end up, though.

Nice to see Bertuzzi will be for the most part welcomed back to Motown.

He came here injured, got his body right, started to play good hockey and suffered another little injury which prevented him from playing his best.

As for his past, we all make mistakes, obviously he made an exceptionally large one, but as humans we all deserve a second chance and I'd love to have Todd back.

Have Bert on the second line and JWill on the third line to spread the speed. JWill has better offensive talents, but a third line of Leino, Bert, Cleary is a awfully slow line.

I think your sig should point out the differences between "I could not care less" and "I could care less." When people normally say "I could care less," they really mean to say "I could not care less."

Malik can say what he wants, but unless he's assuming that Devellano is somehow personally confused on the subject, then his article refuting the rumor is meaningless.

Devellano makes a point of saying FIRST "We just signed Jason Williams..." then he goes on to talk about signing Bertuzzi this week. The implication that it's just people getting confused between two separate interviews is obviously null at this point.

For the rest of us, all we can do is wait and see.

He's old, slow and often injured. Also, he's not anywhere near as physical as he once was.

Although he's grittier than our other forwards (which isn't saying much), I don't think this would be a good signing. It's just be another way to bring this team closer to the cap.

It would still be a better signing than Eaves or Williams, though. It all depends on Bertuzzi's health and willingness to play physical, which could be a catch 22 with his health.

This is just another signing that's a gamble. They're all a gamble at this point though so it's nothing to get worked up about. They're trying to make the best of what's left and this is hardly a bad signing all things considered. If it does indeed go through, I won't be upset at all and generally I like the idea enough as I'm sure the price will be right. All things considered, the Wings have done a good job with the situations they had to work with.

Man, I just want something to happen either way. I hate the waiting part. The thing I noticed with Bertuzzi when he was here before is that he always seemed to be just shy of doing something productive. He just didn't seem to be getting the bounces. I think if a few went his way, he could muster up some more confidence and put up a good season.

The guy had horrible luck when he was here also. Like you said, he was making chances, driving the net, putting himself in the play, and backchecking well (a little too well with that Ozzy collision), but he was snake-bitten. The good news is he'll have a full 82+ games (barring injury) to get back on track in a relatively low pressure role, so hopefully he gets something going.

hahahahaah!!!

Of course Malik is "changing his story" lol, what a tool. He needs to put ShananahanMan on his payroll. Why couldn't Malik do the research that ShananaMan did? What a joke!

That's great journalism folks!!

Bring on Bertuzzi boys!!!
