Only to a Wings fan would that fight be worth remembering. I hate Perry as much as the next guy, but that was a nothing fight. Good on Ericsson for starting something, I hope he does it again and actually lands some strong punches before it's over.

Not a great fight, but what I love about it is I seriously think Perry had no idea that Ericsson would actually fight.

In spite of starting it, he looks completely caught off guard when Ericsson drops the gloves.

Ericsson needs to improve his balance while fighting. He's big enough that he can rag doll guys, but if he can do a better job of keeping his own balance as he pushes his opponent around, he should be able to land some bombs.

It doesn't have to be a "good fight" for it to be freaking awesome. Perry is an idiot and didn't know you don't just push around a guy twice your size. I think he forgot that for a second and was cordially reminded.

He went after Rosehill after about 5 mins but the linesmen were in too early for my liking Then I cant remember who it was but Ericsson just started cross checking some guy in front of the net and starting pushing him with a "grrr" look on his face. He wasnt having a good game at that point.

Im glad the linesman broke it up, because I think Ericsson would have met his match with Rosehill, and probably would have been on the receiving end.

Don't believe the hype from Ducks fans.

Corey Perry is 6'3" 210 lbs.

Jonathan Ericsson is 6'4" 206 lbs.

That's a fair fight. It just looked like a mismatch because people have never seen Perry get into it with someone who was actually as big as he is. Which is why I'm pretty sure Perry didn't know that Ericsson will actually fight.

Maybe not against heavyweights but I wouldn't mind seeing him tangle with a light Heavy like Jimmy Vandemeer or a BJ Crombben type player to get his feet wet. As a 5th defeseman and the capabilities he should be out there sticking up for the team.

Agreed. Somebody has to get revenge on Vandermeer for making Franzen soil himself all over his Wings uniform. That was embarassing!
