Everyones play is a result of Yzerman being in the building and Lidstrom's leadership and Zetterberg's extra gear. If anything, Zetterberg leaves something to be desired during the regular season. Err, you know Zetterberg is pretty much on par with Datsyuk, right? Datsyuk is more flashy, thus gets more recognition around the league. Datsyuk has also never hit 100 points. 97 the past two seasons has been his high. Postseason isn't counted. I don't understand why you're hating on Zetterberg and trying to pimp Datsyuk so hard, to be frank. Both are great players, and both should be held to approximately the same expectations. Zetterberg is producing, Datsyuk is 7 points behind; oh God the world is ending because people are talking out of their asses about Pavel not producing? thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 30 goals isn't a terrible season but its commonly said that Zetterberg is a top ten forward in this league. 30 goals isn't top ten material. I don't see any threads complaining about Zetterberg.. Zets has twice the 30 goals season as Joe Thornton, and one of them was a 40 goal season. Thornton is a top ten forward. Apparently this news hasn't made it to you guys yet. Put Zetterberg on a line with two pylons and see how well he produces. Oh wait, speaking of Zetterberg, hes on pace for 32 goals. No threads? No complaints? Oh right, Datsyuk is "disinterested". So much so that he literally stole the puck from Bertuzzi twice in the Calgary game to actually get something going. This fan base in unbelievable at times. Half the team is injured wait till Franzen, Filppula, and Williams come back then Babcock can get the lines back together.
