Someone photoshop up a dartboard with faces of the wings on it and darts sticking in some of their faces.

I'm pretty sure that's what's happening; someone has a voodoo dartboard or some s***, and they're tossing darts at random.

"LOL I HIT HOMER! OUT FOR 3-4 WEEKS!"

Let me be the first dumb ass to say it.

Better to have these injuries now than in April.

I think the most ironic thing is that is what everyone was saying about Helm's injury in the preseason.

"Better now than midseason."

Duh, everyone knows that once you've been injured, you can't get injured again in the same season!

LOS ANGELES -- Detroit Red Wings forward Tomas Holmstrom will be out 3-4 weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his foot, general manager Ken Holland said today.

The injury happened after Wednesday's practice at the Honda Center in Anaheim, when Holmstrom was working on deflecting pucks, like he does after virtually every practice. It's something he's been doing for 13 years. For the first time, he got hit with a puck in the wrong spot.

X-rays Wednesday night revealed the fracture. The club sent Holmstrom home Thursday morning and he will be further evaluated on Friday.

It's another tough break for a team that's been devastated by injuries this season. Just when the situaiton looked brighter -- forwards Henrik Zetterberg and Dan Cleary will return for tonight's game against the Kings -- the Red Wings learn they will be without their leading goal-scorer for up to month.

Holmstrom has 15 goals and 21 points.

"We were excited to get Cleary and Zetterberg back, now it's two in and one out,'' Holland said. "The hard part is it happened when practice was over.

"It's a fluke injury.''

The Wings still have one extra healthy forward. Either Brad May or Ville Leino will be inserted into the lineup tonight.

Can't even believe the luck we have...

Christ.

Well now that we've got Zetterberg and Cleary back we've got scoring to spare. Might as well lose our only 15 goal scorer.

WHO HAS THE RED WINGS VOODOO DOLL!?!

I'm just waiting for the announcement that members of our management are coming down with injuries as well.

"Red Wings Assistant GM Jim Nill out 1-2 weeks with a broken ankle suffered while slipping heading into the office."

or...

"Ken Holland's secretary to miss a minimum of 2-3 weeks due to an unspecified wrist injury. (UPDATE) EMG tests performed Monday morning revealed the issues to be related to a moderate case of Carpal Tunnels Syndrome. New timeline: out 3-4 weeks."

I didn't even say it aloud... but the thought crossed my mind "Weird season when Homer has almost as many goals as Kopitar" And then this shows up *sigh*

There are only 3 players who have played every game this season... who must be kept from the watchful eyes of The Injurer.
