I'm amused.

Everyone's upset about how quickly goals 2 and 3 game, and the fact that they shouldn't have happened.

But nobody is blaming Howard for tonight, even though:

Brunette's goal, down to the shot placement and distance, was a copy of Backstrom's goal on Osgood.

Havlat's goal was a direct result of poor rebound control, as Howard kicked the puck out into the slot on the initial shot.

Earl's goal came in part because Howard lost track of the puck, and didn't realize it had popped back in front of the net.

Everyone seemed to think Ozzie was giving up nothing but soft goals the other night, but this is the first comment on anything about Howard.

On a side note...am I the only one who noticed that Zidlicky's shootout goal went over Howard's shoulder yet was in the bottom half of the net?

Howard gets a pass in that he hasn't sucked all season.

MILLER TIME TO THE SECOND ******* POWER!!! WINGS WIN 4-3!!!

God, this game should not have gone to SO if the ******* team would finish those critical chances! Finally something goes right for the Wings in the SO.

Wings gain 2 valuable points in this game that, frankly, they didn't deserve to (blowing yet ANOTHER 2 goal lead).

Looks like Babcock should put Flip and Miller Time in on the SO more often now  .

Stats'll be up in a minute or two. Haven't done that in a few games.

Stop making sense, or the Howard fans will lynch you.

At least Howard is getting some things that Ozzie isn't. WINS and POINTS.

Now all we need is LA to lose and 8th place is our.

You don't actually watch the games, do you?

Actually I watch every game. In Memphis. Through NHL Center Ice. It's time for Filps to grow up, let go of the stupid deke moves he can't pull off, and become a man. He tries to be too cute. "The Wings just got a little less pretty and little more gritty."

Look, I know you have a Filps Banner so you're an expert on the matter, but you made that yourself. It means nothing in particular.

Best win of the season so far. Nauseating. So many things looked like a repeat of the Caps game. So many moments of cynicism that could've ended the Wings chances. But as soon as they said it was Miller's first career shootout attempt, I knew he'd score. Usually when the announcers drop a bit more information on a particular player they end up winning.

Of course, the team could still be cursed and the Kings could win tonight, but let's all just have a lot of faith and positive energy for Buffalo tonight!

Drew Miller should be kept. The guy's solid as a rock.

By the way, when is the last time Cleary scored a shootout goal? I know he has, but man does he look out of ideas every time he's on, usually at No.4. I guess they're missing Franzen, but still.

Such a relief to win won of those things.

Eaves, Helm, Miller. These guys are gold, Jerry! Gold!

Do you take the effort to change your font type for every post you make?

Filps is way overrated. You can't even tell he is back from injury in some of these games. But oh yes, he is.

You're an idiot. Lock yourself in a closet.

Eva, Howard was not at fault for the overtime tonight, just like Osgood was not at fault for the loss to Washington last game.

The team should have buried the chances they had in the first (three of them I can think of off the top of my head), and should have really been better at bearing down in the last ten minutes of the third.

This team still doesn't know how to finish with the players they have and it has nothing to do with goaltending.

Zidlicky's goal went under Howard's arm. You can see the jersey flutter from the puck in the behind-the-net replay.
