Filppula has as many points as datsyuk in the 14 or so games he has played, and that's with worse linemates and less ice time.

Filppula isn't better than Datsyuk, but I'll damn sure take Filppula over the way datsyuk is playing right now. Abso-*******-lutely.

While I totally agree with the fact you stated, and will freely admit that Filppula has been playing better than Datsyuk weren't you the guy who discredited that exact same logic when used with Hudler?

like all season long, wings have been playing for only 1 period.

Problem is, that the period is kinda of random. One day they just play the first, one day just the third....

We'd rather not make the playoff otherwise the disappointment will be even bigger. And lets face it, this year we don't have the team.

How in the f*** can Ohallerin call that penalty? Are you ******* kidding me? Number 1, it wasn't even a penalty, number 2 they were letting both teams pull players down all game long and then they call that s*** against the losing team with less than 2 minutes to go. WHAT THE f***?

Besides that, this ******* team sucks. I just don't get it. They play well for a period, and as the game goes on they get worse and worse. I don't know, maybe the other team just gets better and the Wings are not that good. I know this, they don't deserve to make the playoffs. If they keep this nonsense up I hope they don't make it.

It's absurd. You can't give up your 2-goal leads, game after game. This is ridiculous.

Good thing Phoenix lost.

Hard to blame any one person for this.

Just a s***ty team effort.

I blamed Ericsson for starting the downfall, but the team should have rebounded from that.

The leadership just isn't very good right now. The littlest thing phases this weak minded group. In the past, this team had stronger will, because the star players were showing up every game. Now it's different.

What's amazing about that is Datsyuk at his worst still looks far better out there then Flip playing great (according to you). Datsyuk still makes many great plays out there, they just haven't produced as many goals recently. Kinda like Bert early in the season. He was doing everything right except he just wasn't seeing the back of the net. Then finally things got going.

It's fine that you have fanboy love for Flip, but do not be absurd.

Just put Osgood in and let him have 3-4 consecutive games and see how it goes... can't be worse than howard was today.. (yes whole team was brutal but howard was very bad today)

We did not lose the game on this penalty. we lost the game at 15:30 in the first period.

i really hope this team misses the playoffs. i'm tired of this limp-dick effort. "oh wait, we're down with 5 minutes to play, time to actually try".

Pffft, what a waste of time. LA probably won't even make the play-offs, the Wings are just throwing away points. Calgary won't be sucking forever, Dallas is looking better, and Anaheim is starting to climb up the rankings. The Wings have 3 good teams behind them, and are losing ground fast on teams they should be beating. Wings are screwed.

It'll be too late once Franzen and co. get back. Too late. Datysuk and Zetterberg are shells of their former selves.

God, I almost prefer when we are shutout. At least then there is no need for me to get my hopes up. Taking a two goal lead in the 1st/2nd is just ******* emotional abuse. I love the team most nights, but this s*** they've been pulling lately is just ******* pissing me off to no end! Do these guys even WANT to make the playoffs?

go f*** yourselves wings, seriously, f*** yourselves

and i suppose Franzen will make allll the difference right?

my ass.

Well, Franzen, Holmstrom, Kronwall (WILL BE HUGE!!!!!!!), and Lilja...yeah, I'd say that's a pretty big difference, and note, I didn't even throw Williams into that mix...

It was a tough loss but don't make it more than it is.

what a s*** ******* game. looks like we're back to playing one period and then mailing it in. datsyuk and zetterberg are ******* jokes this year. there are no more excuses. they play on a line together. where's the offense that they're getting paid for. time for these guys to step up and earn it. i'm disgusted with tonight's game! :ranting:
