Did you see my post about his sense of humor?

Didn't I reply to you?

*checks*

Okay, guess my brain checked out there for a moment.

I definitely agree, but what I think I mean by deciphering is letting my ear adjust to the way he talks. It usually takes me a moment to adjust to his accent :P

Wow. Russia needs to remember how they scored their goals. Shoot the puck! Has Pav ever been poke-checked on the shootout before? I don't think I've seen that. Big win for Slovakia. Big disappointment for Russia.

Yeah I had to ask again since I think Hossa or someone scored shortly after and I thought it might get lost in the frat.

But I see now by what you mean. It's different when you hear him speak in Russian I think.

BTW, Datsyuk looks really timid on a line with Ovechkin and Semin, I'd definitely swap him with Malkin.

I love AO, but he's been a massive hog in the first two games and Datsyuk is barely touching the puck in the offensive zone. Semin meanwhile has been invisible and doesn't deserve to be on the top line.

Datsyuk is struggling to have much of an impact and for the most part it's not his fault.

If I'm not mistaken, that currently makes the US the top seed, no?

yes as of now.. but if finland, sweden, czech republic win big tomorrow they may not be

I feel like there are too many superstar egos on the Russian team. There is practically no chemistry from what I saw today.

Malkin? Ughhh, put Pavs out one more time before he goes out once.

Everytime that guy touches the puck he's trying to pull off at least 9 more moves than he should.

Ovie and Pav is money. Semin does NOT fit in at all.

They need to put someone else there. Anyone. Radulov I think would be an absolute beast next to those two.

I agree. I don't know if it's egos per se but these are players who play huge amounts of time with the puck and that's how they dominate. If you put them all together on one line, they can't all have the puck as much as they're used to, so effectiveness goes down. It's something Russia will have to figure out.

I lost all faith in Bykov after this game. Hopefully it will be restored before the tournament's end.

My eyes almost came out of their sockets when I saw Fedorov and Kozlov against the Hossa line in the late stages of Overtime, and sure enough the Slovaks almost scored.

Ovechkin 3 times in the shootout? I know he was the only one who actually battled and played with heart all game but you HAVE to go by stats in the shootout, not by emotions. Where was Kozlov and Radulov in the shootout?

I agree. It almost seems like they are just playing a scrimmage out there. They are passing too much, trying to make the perfect play, rather than shooting and driving the net. Like you said, all the players for the Russians are guys that hold on to the puck all game and make a lot of plays. They just don't mesh together..... yet. If this team figures out their problem, they will be very hard to beat.

however, I still don't think they will win gold, or even make it to the finals. It will be USA v. Canada. sorry pav.
