That means Shanny can come back and re-claim his number! Whee! Whoopee!

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Now the question is, Ritola or Miller.

Anytime. There's not really a time when you can't waive a player.

Would anybody really mind if he was picked up by another team?
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Ok so when is the cut-off for roster moves that affect 2011 and not 2010? Is that opening day of free agency?

End of the playoffs, I believe.

No. He is a depth player that isn't going to get any better. I would rather he get picked up by a team that would give him more ice time than rot away in GR.

This sounds like an excellent idea to me.

Not really. He's a solid, serviceable plug...nothing more. Those types of players make too little of an impact on any team they end up with to regret losing them.
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

"They are the best team in the world. They are a team that can just take over when they want to," Chicago's Patrick Kane said (of the Detroit Red Wings).

Agreed, there's no room for him here, but the guy deserves a chance to play night in and night out in the NHL... good luck Meech! I don't know why, but I imagine him ending up in Philly... no rhyme or reason behind that, just a gut feeling...

All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:

Here in this thread

Here in this one as well

Here in this one too

and finally

Here

Holland is a damn good GM. period.

I'm going to wait until he gets claimed before I make anything out of this.

I don't think Philly needs a 9th defenceman.

He's played as a forward before. I like him better as a forward, anyways.

The end of the "Mebdeech" era is offically over with Lebda going to Toronto at a laughable contract and Meech being waived.

The peasants rejoice!

Meech isn't really gone yet though. Someone has to claim him. Right?

I never really liked or disliked the guy. I hope someone picks him up, gives him some ice time. He could be a pretty decent plugger on a team like the Islanders or the Sabres.
lighten up people, it's the internet!
