Looking forward to this game. Back to back game against one of the best teams in the West is going to be tough.

Especially since we're so old....

I'd like to see:

Sammy held to 0 points

Howard with a good game

Hudler and Mule get goals

Luongo choke

That being said, I'd be more than happy with one point tonight.

Sammy's been struggling this year. A game against his old team may be just what the doctor ordered.

Any word on Hudler tonight? In or out of the lineup? He only played like 8 minutes last night, might as well dress an enforcer lol dont people say we cant have a guy that plays that little in the lineup because the rest of our team gets tired?

Exactly lol! Brad May took just as regular of a shift as Hudler but the anti enforcer guys aren't saying we should get rid of Hudlr for some reason... Seems a little odd to me since they all seemed so concerned about Dats and Z's icetime when people who wanted to sign a tough guy said anything lol

Mostly because we know Huds can go out there and be a huge producer. He just needs to get rolling. We never expected a point from May. Pretty big difference there.

Hudller used to be able to be a decent producer. He has looked lazy and uninspired already, he should be going out there proving he belongs with this team after running off to Russia.

I would much rather have someone go out and play there 8 minutes with heart and desire, doesn't even have to be a fighter type, I would take another Miller and IM not even a Miller fan

Brad May wasn't expected to provide points, he was a fourth liner. May did his job.

Big game here.

Sammy has been slacking so far this year a bit, but honestly I thought his totals last year were kind of flukey.

I do agree that Vanc and Det are the premiere teams in the west, but also think L.A. deserves some consideration. Their goaltending was the thing in question this preseason, but Quick has been playing great and they have a solid backup.

As for this game: I want Mule, Pavel and Howie to keep it going. Also I would like Hudler to score one already.

Mike had some ominous words for Jiri following last night's game:

“I’m standing on the bench there, it’s five minutes left and we get a penalty and I’m thinking to myself, ’I scratched Miller today and this might not be a very good situation,’" Babcock said. “Miller is an incredible penalty killer. It’s not like he did anything wrong, it’s just I wanted to get Huds back in the lineup.”

I still think it's a little early to write any team off though. Also, you may be selling the Kings a little short at this point too. A lot can change between now and April. By Christmas we'll have a better idea how things are going to shape up in the West.

You're right, the Kings look very promising. I'm not convinced that they're the real deal YET, but we'll see.

Yeah I'm not entirely convinced yet either. A lot of the teams that had a quick start to the season have fallen by the wayside and the good teams that struggled early are coming on strong - including the Canucks. Water is finding its own level. I do think the Kings could buck that trend though. They should be in the mix all season.

At least this game is on the FSDHD channel instead of the stupid FSD+ channel. I had to wait until midnight to watch a decent feed for last night's game. Still trying to wake up.

WOW cable sucks but at least we get FSN+ in HD now :P.

Let's hope Luongo does not stand on his head like the last two goalies we faced. Vancouver can score goals when they are rolling and I think 2 goals won't cut it.

Yes lets hope so,but Luongo will probably play great,Detroit has a tough season no matter what just because of how elite they are, teams play them hard just for that fact.
