Other then Helms line, we really didnt deserve to win. s***ty result on New Years, but eh. Too bad Z didnt bury that open netter.

Lidstrom missed his one timer, while the Islanders player didn't miss his.

I guess we would have lost in the shootout anyway, so killing the penalty probably wouldn't have helped.

At least we got a point out of that. I can't believe there was no call when Franzen was slashed and his stick shatterd. That was a horrbile missed call. Ohh well what can you do. GO WINGS & Happy New Year to all my fellow Red Wing fans. Cheers!!!
