MulesWillFly93 199 Report post Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) My favorite non-Wing period is probably Ovechkin, but the one guy out of everybody I would really, really want on the team right now is Shea Weber. If we're just looking at great D-men, then Doughty's right up there, too, but Weber's toughness makes him perfect. Can't stand the guy as it is, but I'd love to have him on the Wings. Edit: Ah, f*** it, now I'm in a good mood, so I'll just go ahead and all list my favorites. Not all of them would fit on the Wings, but that's what I used the other thread for. Forwards - Alex Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos (big duh on those two), Dustin Brown, Anze Kopitar, Mike Knuble, Nicklas Backstrom, Martin St. Louis, Milan Lucic, Claude Giroux, Patrick Marleau, Jonathan Toews Defensemen - Shea Weber, Drew Doughty, Zdeno Chara, Adam McQuaid, Lubomir Visnovsky Goalies - TIM THOMAS!!! (I'm a fangirl, what can I say?), Jonathan Quick, Carey Price (and of course Lundqvist and Miller, but I'm trying to keep it to a minimum here) Edited April 4, 2011 by MulesWillFly93

Dimaline312000 51 Report post Posted April 2, 2011 Forward- Steven Stamkos. Ever since he's come into this league I've been impressed with this kid and I think he will be a big part of Tampa Bay's success in the coming years. Defense- Drew Doughty. Another young kid that shows a lot of promise and potenital and I think he will help the Kings have success as well. Goalie- Ryan Miller. He's from Michigan he played for Michigan State. That's good enough for me.

Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 3, 2011 So is there any player not on the Wings that is a favorite player of yours or you would want to see wearing the Winged Wheel? Hate the team or not there are just some players that you have to respect. Forward - Joe Pavelski - Of course I hate him as a Shark but I really started to like him when he played on the US team. (Honorable Mention - Kopitar) Defenseman - Shea Weber - Big, Physical pretty much what the Wings need even if I do hate him at times. (Honorable Mention - Doughty) Goalie - Pekka Rinne - I would love to see him come over to Detroit, he is really becoming a great netminder and he has great size and quickness. Jimmy and Joey are 6'0 while Ozzie is 5'11. Rinne is 6'5". (Honorable Mention - Lundqvist) So who are your favorite non-Wings. Agree with all of your picks and honorables as well. Though I would much rather have Anze than Pal. If I was to pick a Shark to have, it would be Couture. He is a beast. I would also through Skinner into the mix before Joe. Heck why don't we throw in wingers. I would love to have a Dustin Brown. Or how about... Oh I could go on forever.

Pekka Rinne is probably my favorite goalie in the NHL right now slightly ahead of the Michigan goalies Thomas and Miller.
