ogreslayer 1,069 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 I think someone needs to hire more editors. Count the errors! http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/post/_/id/6688754/who-walk-away-vegas-winner Martin St. Louis is a right wing on the St. Louis Blues! Jeff Skinner is a rookie for the Carolina Panthers! Lou Eriksson's up for the Lady Byng! That St. Louis guy is talented. He's also a goalie for the Lightning! And Dan Bylsma is such a great coach that he also coached in Pittsburg! I can almost forgive the Lou/Loui thing & the misspelling of Pittsburgh, but the rest? Makes me all the more glad that ESPN doesn't have the rights to broadcast the NHL. 1 sleepwalker reacted to this

Also, they have Loui spelled right in the picture right beside the poll
Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 You make it seem like ESPN ever had credibility when it comes to hockey. Gary Thorne was about as far as it went. 1 Greatness=PavelDatsyuk reacted to this

vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 You should blame yourself for checking ESPN in the first place. The only time I go there is when I want to know about poker. Which is never. 7 crotty99, sleepwalker, asoras and 4 others reacted to this

Best post ever. Honestly, I have found the less I deal with ESPN the happier I am. I have just proven this fact by changing the channel to ESPN and seeing Jim Rome STILL talking about LeBron. It made me vomit, and I cannot be sure if it is the bug I have or ESPN. I guess I need a control group...
eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 Line combos are fun to talk about, but are a waste of time, because lines change so much. From now on, I think it's wiser to just compile a list of forwards and defensemen, instead of talking about what lines they'll be on. It won't stay the same anyway. NBC Sports/Versus FTW. Anyone send this to Bettman yet? I'm sure he'd laugh his ass off.

Took me a few to figure out you were talking about spelling Pittsburgh wrong....I was like: Bylsma does coach the Pens.

SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 Meh, you take the good and the bad with ESPN. If you are going to pay detailed attention to a lot of broadcasting/copy, you'll probably be disappointed. If you tune in to just watch games, it's not so bad. I enjoy watching college football games, the college world series, and the occasional baseball game or Monday Night Football on there. If you are just going there for hockey coverage only, you will probably be disappointed.

ogreslayer 1,069 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) some days i'd rather live in canada. It would be an absolute riot to live in Vancouver I would trade TSN/CBC for all 25 ESPN networks pretty much any day of the week. Can't stand all of the talking head shows & anchors who think they're more important than the sports they're covering on the supposed "world-wide leader".
