Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 I couldn't have said it better. Yeah, Milbury might be a douchebag at times, but this time he's right on the money. This double set of rules for one person and then the rest of the league is getting way too old. If you act like a spoiled kid, you should expect to get punished for it. He deserved what he got. I wish someone would line him up and knock him into next week. Elaborate.

Shaman 713 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 (edited) Elaborate. There are a few chosen players that seem to never be able to do any wrong in the league's eyes, and get treated as such. They start fights they can't finish, they dive, they ***** and moan to the media, and they give hockey a bad name. Its not just one player, though one player is the poster boy for it. Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 I love the Crosby comments, hate the Bylsma comments. I hate that skirt type bull s***. Plenty of people in skirts that could kick Milbury's ass. That gender s*** is so past relevant. Grow up dinosaur. Crosby should get hit, because he is playing hockey. 5 roboturner, Electrophile, P. 55fan 5,133 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Have you ever tried to fight in a skirt? I can barely sit, stand, or breathe in one. There's a reason chicks are lady-like and restrained in a skirt. In a word: pantyhose. Although I disagree with Mike that Bylsma should have fought. Coaches should leave that to the players and just yell stuff at each other. Suits don't have fight straps, and they probably need dry cleaning, and that's expensive. Not sure what Milbury expected. As for sending out the line that he did, I believe that you play to the last horn. If that's how you play when your team is behind, then you play that way whether you're behind by 1 or 11. 1 P. Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 What bothers me the most about Crosby... is that I don't think he would have acted like this if he wasn't paired up with Mario when he got drafted. I imagine an alternate reality where he was drafted anywhere that had a true hockey player vet with class to take him under the Wing. I just don't think he takes a dive if he was drafted by a team like Detroit and played under Lidstrom. The difference in personality might have been epic. 10 roboturner, edicius, Detroit \# 1 Fan and 7 others reacted to this

There's a reason chicks are lady-like and restrained in a skirt. In a word: pantyhose. I don't know what you are talking about. A skirt does not restrict breathing, nor does pantyhose. I have seen plenty of girls throw down in all sorts of garments. I find it funny, because suits are harder to fight in, as the shoulder seem makes it impossible to have full range of motion with the arms, which is far more important in a fight. I digress, Milbury is a misogynistic dinosaur, and he should be taking heat for that and not his Crosby comments. Last I checked, he is getting paid for his opinion. Where are all the ladies when these threads go down?!?!? I just realized 55fan is a girl. I apologize. I still don't get why a skirt would inhibit your fighting, maybe you are wearing a size too small>? Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Crosby isn't the only star in the league to dive. Crosby isn't the only star in the league to ***** and moan to the media. Crosby is the poster boy for 1) the NHL, 2) hockey at large, and - and here's The Thing for an ever increasing percentage of peeps - 3) diving, bitching-'n'-moaning, and all that cheddar. 6 Byorski, F.Michael, Hockeymom1960 and 2 others reacted to this
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 And Crosby responds because, hey, he's Crosby. http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/sports/penguins/crosby-responds-to-milburys-digs-629716/ Oh wait, maybe he's not going to respond... Penguins center Sidney Crosby said today that he didn't care to respond to critical remarks NBC hockey analyst Mike Milbury made about him during an interview with a Philadelphia radio station Monday. Phew, keeping his whiny mouth shut for a change. And then, almost immediately, he responded, albeit briefly. ...never mind. And of course, he unknowingly admits the whole double-standard when it comes to penalizing him. "There are times when, it's a contact sport, and I do get involved, but I don't think I've gotten one penalty in a scrum since I've been back." ...despite the fact that there have clearly been times he should have been penalized. Spoiled little baby boy just doesn't ******* get it. 6 Z Winged Dangler, Hockeymom1960, Nev and 3 others reacted to this
WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 The problem with Crosby being the poster boy of the NHL is his behavior. He is immature and disrespectful, that is why I can't stand him and all the praise he is always getting. I've never had any respect for him because of us unprofessional behavior...yes he may be talented but that gets canceled out when you're a whiny *****. 8 roboturner, Z Winged Dangler, Hockeymom1960 and 5 others reacted to this

I was pointing out the immense and quite funny irony of him ranting about Cindy being a punk, only to completely punk out himself almost immediately after making the comment. And I hate to say this but, it seems they are right. Not to get off topic, but I don't even fully blame these young players, its beyond that, its the entire generation and the way they've been brought up. It seems anyone under the age of about 35 or so these days is part of what has been referred to as the "entitlement generation" and bases their philosophy and attitude on the "I am owed the world on a platter" type mentality. 1 haroldsnepsts reacted to this
