I'll have the graphics up in a little while. Experiencing a few issues with photoshop ATM.

Let's hope they play tonight like they want to win.

Wings win 3-1.

Then it's on to the home opener tomorrow and Zetterberg's Captain ceremony.

GO WINGS!

Let's just say I'm in the "wait and see" group right now.  Until the Wings prove they want to be on the ice, and they sure as hell didn't on Saturday night, there is no way of expecting a win.  Add to that Columbus looked energetic and physical against Trashville, and the equation right now doesn't add up in Detroit's favor.  hopefully I'm wrong, but we'll just have to wait and see.....

Don't take it from fans on LGW, take it from his peers. NHL players have spoken and they think Tootoo is the dirtiest player in the league.

Get a clue already.

Just show some heart, give 100% effort and I'll be happy. Shouldn't be hard after the last game.

Go Wings!

I have been thinking (always a dangerous proposition):  when's the last time the Wings came out strong at the beginning of a season?  2001, if I recall.  Since then, not so much. They'll be OK.  As someone said, it could hardly be any worse than game 1!

No predication, just play like you want to be there, and win this one, Wings!

7-4 Wings.

Three stars: Zetterberg (2G,1A), Brunner (1G,1A), some Blue Jacket (1G, 1A).

Larry Murphy fights three Blue Jackets at once. I'm not sure how or why. (New crystal 8-ball has some kinks in it.f****** IKEA.)

Might be the last time we ever have back to back home openers. Expecting to see a LOT of Red tonight at Nationwide. Its going to be intense and hopefully that @sskicking last game reminded the guys the lockout is over.

Good luck with the photoshop issues, Mike.  Let's hope the Wings show up better than their jerseys.

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $30

if Q pulls his head out of his ass and plays the body, and we watch for the stretch pass, i think were good.

i hope people arent that worried about the last game. blues have a legit shot to win it all this year.

I think people are more scared because their team hasn't changed a lot, and we were just as good as them last year, and look how they ran us over

I just think that was a fluky game. 4 of their goals coulda been easily stopped.

We did look soft no doubt, but i dont think its anything to worry about long term. Our O looked pretty bad, i dont think the Z-D-Brun line will bring us much success as i said last week. We cant afford to put all of our top guys on the first line to matchup against the other top line. need to spread the wealth. no big body on the first makes it too easy to push them around and keep us outside.

flip-z-brun

franzen-pav-nyquist now that bert, mursak are both out.

nyquist needs to be up here regardless. hes better than your pick of emmerton, mursak, miller, and prob eaves at this point. i know there are contactual issues with that happening, but it would be nice.

PK Subban still trying to get out of montreal? send them 3 players, i dont care. will help get some of these bodies out of here, and bring a little more offense.

plus a black guy would do well to attract some more real detroiters lol.
