Wings/Leafs will be the most epic, of course, but this really makes the WC a joke, especially if they continue to do this.  Way to f*** up another cool thing about hockey, NHL.  Will it never end?

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

NHL Official Release:  Because so many teams wanted one, next season there will be 8 Stanley Cups.

Oh hey, they just had to figure a way to get Pittsburgh into another one of these. They even matched them up against an opponent that means absolutely nothing, and doesn't pose any excitement.f****** stupid NHL.

There is so much wrong with this I can't believe this is actually official. The Rangers have been involved in a Winter Classic already, and now they're going to host 2 games? The Pens/Blackhawks just makes me want to puke all around, again, 2nd time Chicago will host a game. The only games I think are even...understandable is Sens and Canucks which should be great, and Ducks/Kings for thinking out of the box a bit and giving a west coast team a game. I could live without the other 3.

Lol the freaking Rangers get two games in a row? HAHAHA....

Also, Bettman has never been to the Midwest in March, apparently.

This would be a fake report in any other league.

It'll be interesting to see how they pull off an outdoor game in California.

No kidding.

And I thought the ice was bad at the previous Winter Classics.  At least it was frozen.

On January 25th the average high in LA is 67 and the low is 49 degrees.

How exactly are they going to do ice outdoors in Los Angeles?

Typical of the NHL to ruin a good thing. There's no appeal when you do it six times.

[rant]

what shocks me the most is that the rangers get two before the wild gets one...  and the fact that there is blandly showing favoritism...  and they are taking the novelty of the WC out...

Isn't Montreal a big franchise in NHL history?

Where are they on this list?

You all already pointed out the idiocy. Although warm weather hockey can happen. They did it in Mexico City I think, a few years ago.

Let's just make the whole season outdoors.
