NorCalGrl 9 Report post Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) This evening I'm going to be putting together my first playoff playlist of the season. Does anyone have any suggestions (other than the obligatory 'Detroit Rock City' or 'Don't Stop Believin')? Songs that get you pumped for the Red Wings when you listen to them on the way to work in the morning, on the way home, or blasting from your home stereo the 15 minutes prior to puck drop? Preferably something about slaying bears/bruins? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Edit: Good grief, I evidently don't know how to title a post. Can anyone help me change the title? rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted April 17, 2014 Stick with Detroit artists. Classic pump-up rock song: White Stripes - "Seven Nation Army" Awesome bad-ass rap song: Danny Brown - "Side A (Old)" and some advice for the Wings: Madonna "Respect Yourself" Then, when we're up 3-1 on Boston you can play: Marvin Gaye "What's Going On?" Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 17, 2014 Nothing from Aerosmith, The Cars, Boston, or The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, as they're all from Boston... Anything from Yellowcard, since their guitarist Ryan Mendez (@RyanMendez on twitter) is a die hard Red Wings fan.

Anything from Yellowcard, since their guitarist Ryan Mendez (@RyanMendez on twitter) is a die hard Red Wings fan. I can't imagine The Mighty Mighty Bosstones would have any "pump up" music lol Now if you were to say the Dropkick Murphys...

I know they are from Boston but some of their songs are just made for hockey. Another thing I love about our sport most hardrock/new-metall and metal songs are just matching so well other sports can't say the same thing (nascar with country being the exception) 2 Son of a Wing and derblaueClaus reacted to this
