That and they'd do terribly against the Seattle Krayt Dragons.

They'd be pretty good with the cross checks, though. ;)

The only problem is that they'd skate single file to hide their numbers, so they'd have horrible spacing.

You might beat them your first season, but they'll be back, and in greater numbers.

That's actually a pretty solid looking jersey honestly, add a gray stripe to the bottom and a couple on the sleeves and we might be on to something here.

The Las Vegas Sandworms

Sandworms, I hate em!

Mu'ad dib? A bit spicy for me. Or maybe the Sarlaac to keep with the Star Wars reference instead of switching to Dune. (As long as there isn't a Seattle Gungans thrown in the mix).

As long as there isn't a Seattle Wookiees. Everyone letting them win would be too dull, but the alternative would be everyone having their arms pulled out of their sockets. The Wings have enough injuries as it is- a back out over there, a concussion over here, a face off in the corner...

Ok, so wouldn't the back and sleeves be blank, or is having an 8 on one arm of jersey #77 part of hiding their numbers?

Star Wars is just a rip off of Dune anyway

Cue angry Star Wars fan boys...

I've never read Dune (or any of the related books). I did see the movie when it came out, but I was totally lost before it was half-way over.

That said, I would think that the Las Vegas Dunes could definitely be a contender.

Ugh, the movie/mini-series or whatever it is, is so terrible. I love the book, can't even sit through 5 minutes of the movie.

EDIT: Rather watch Star Wars fersure

I agree, very rarely is there an original thought anymore. However I prefer the word inspired instead of ripped-off.

I was thinking of Beatlejuice. I've never ventured into the world of Dune. I don't know what the Dune Sandworms look like, but I doubt they would be this potential mascot:

No, in fact there's a theory in literature that there is only like 26 different storys and they're all recycled in one form or another.
