He knew where to put his stick in order to deflect it and it wasn't always just in front of the net. We probably would have more goals if we had a guy like that on this team but alas, he's a one-of-kind and most players these days don't have the balls to do what he did anyway. I get it, home crowd, it's a home game, of course it's going to be tilted, but jeez. It's supposed to be a celebration of a rivalry and they're making it look like there wasn't one. I think it's a "then and now" kind of thing since they show the card first and then the player on the ice. HUGE booooos for Drapes. teeheehee McCarty wasn't greeted very warmly either.
