Conflict in the Crease

Pretty sure most of the people at  JLA either wear a Zetterberg jersey or a Howard one or Lidstrom/Yzerman. Lately Larkin's got some fans.

Datsyuk used to be a close second in popularity but I was surprised to see the drop in #13 jerseys at the JLA this year..

Howard starting tonight, Sproul back in. New lines in play also, Mantha - Zetterberg - Vanek on the top line. It looks like a solid shuffle outside of Glendening still on the 2nd and AA on the 4th, swap those two and I think they look ideal.

Really like that top line. All 3 of them deserve top line duties.

And agreed on swapping AA and Glendog to make the lines ideal.

Jimmy "The Rock" Howard's been a whole lot more reliable than Petr "The Next Coming of Jesus" Mrazek

That's true if you cherry pick only the current season. Over the whole of his career he's been all over the place.

Great nicknames by the way. Inorganic matter vs. mythical demi-deity....Can't we just compare two homo sapiens doing the same job?

Truth. Howard finally earns his paycheck this season and everyone's like screw Mrazek. The only reason there is a conflict is Howard blew it so many times that Mrazek was able to come up and steal starts. Gotta give him credit for coming up and taking a spot instead of only being promoted because he was out of waiver exemptions too. If Howard had been as solid as he is this season the past three years, Mrazek would be his unquestioned backup and this whole thread wouldn't exist. Instead, Howard is 99.9% gone after this season.

There's a higher chance that Blashill gets fired

I think Mrazek should start. Good for Coreau for getting the win and I think he did okay, but he got pretty luck that some of those goals were called back.

Yes he should. He needs to get going. If Coreau starts the next game, we def know somethings stirred up between Mrazek and Blash. Coreau admitted he thought he was getting pulled before that 4-1 goal was called off. He did alright, but he's not at an NHL starters level. His size helped him out on some shots and plays he wasn't expecting.
