Howard was as good as gone once Holland could move him, but he couldn't so Howard was still on the team. Then he decided to play well again, and here we are.

yep, I wouldn't believe it myself, had I not seen it. Same happened 2 seasons ago when both Jimmy and Monster got injured and Mrazek had to step it up and, ...we all know the rest.

It just sucks that Howard gets these setbacks when he's playing well

Howie never seems to come back as good, either... still glad we kept him as a Wing. 

Wings need to step up in the 2nd... five shots on goal is called "a night off" if you're Price.

i think Howard will come back and continue to play well. He's kept it up for far longer than I thought he would. A week off shouldn't hurt, but we all know if he lets his mental demons discourage him, he won't look good. He's either confident and stellar, or discouraged and horrible. No middle ground.

Monster was another goalie I wish had better luck with injuries. He could be a solid starting goalie in the NHL if he could catch a break. Big guy, tons of skill, but made of glass. For that reason he will never be more than a backup, and can't really be trusted to do that. If he's on your roster, you better have a solid third option.

Well, Mrazek is a later round gem, and Coreau was undrafted..so yes, good job there. The goaltending is the best it's been since Hasek/Osgood IMO.

Our bench is getting smaller... the remaining Wings need to step on the go-go peddle in the 4rd and do this!  Petr is holding up  his end of the bargain, so to speak.
