I'm preparing myself for immense disappointment on April 9th

Counterpoint: The lower you finish, the more likely you are to experience crushing disappointment at the lottery draw. Finishing 5th from the bottom and drafting 7th overall would be less heartbreaking than finishing 31st and picking 3rd.

I had to watch AA's goal ten times. He's quickly become my fave Wings player. Sorry, Bert.

But Bert is the coolest guy on the team, just like his uncle. Look at him, thick lettuce, dirty white trash facial hair, backwards snapback, cares about nothing, missing teeth, mad style, massive swagger.

Dubs is the preppy doosher. Clean cut, good at what he does, massive caterpillars resting over his eyes. Yawn.

Losing begets losing, winning begets winning, baring some big paradigm shift

Have to disagree on that one.  Picking top 3 is way more appealing than picking 7th

I'm just talking about levels of disappointment. For me, personally, going into the lottery draw as the 31st or 30th team would be almost unbearably stressful because of the potential for having The Dream snatched away from you and gifted to some assholes like Edmonton or Buffalo.

I mean, don't get me wrong -- I'd gladly take a last-place finish. But the potential for lottery draw disappointment, re: (not) getting Hughes/Kakko, would be huge.

Picking later is cooler. Picking early is for losers. All the cool kids hang out at the bottom of the draft.

Picking later isn't getting this team out of the basement

AA looks like the diversity hire at the office.

Yes, and thru rounds 2 through 7, and free agents, and trades, and developing a lockerroom culture that expects to win each and every night. Some teams do the first steps well but never find that last one.

Ppl like him because he delivers an exciting 1 min speech at the Monday morning meeting. But after that his performance is completely meh the rest of the week.

I just meant that it got you out of the basement.  When are you in Cali next?

The only one keeping me in the basement is my mom. ******* *****.

I was just in Sacramento, prolly won't be back for a while. I almost never come to Frisco bro bro.
