Where would you want to be traded, and why?

Detroit is not an option

Consider the state of the franchise, but also the city you will be living in.

For me, I'd instantly rule out any Canadian team, Arizona, California, and any place with real winter.

Looking at the remaining list, I think my trade list would be Denver, Seattle, Tampa, or Florida. Purely on living there. It just so happens those teams are good. Coincidence?

Great question. I was asking myself this exact thing a few minutes ago in that other stupid thread.

Here's what I got - all biases aside (if I had to pick 5)

LA

Seattle

NYR

Miami

Carolina

Why LA over SJS or ANA? Not rebuilding?

NYR is probably the only northern team I'd make an exception for.

Raleigh is actually pretty nice, I just dont like the Cane cause they're lame.

Just love LA.

It's a  shame the Coyotes are so f***ed because the Arizona desert is awesome

Agreed on Ari

ANA is basically LA. I just can't stand LA, probably my least favorite city anywhere.

I hate the heat, so no place down south. And I wouldn't want to live on the West Coast. New York is out because it's a hellhole. Columbus is really boring. Minneapolis is a cool city, but their team sucks. Ditto to Buffalo, Ottawa, and Philly. I can't pick Detroit per the OP. I guess I'm going with Chicago. They have winter, it's not far from Michigan, the city is pretty cool, and the team (while bad) actually intends to be good again one day. So if I were a younger player I'd want Chicago, if  were in the twilight of my career I'd just be looking to play for a contender.

The city of Pittsburgh is actually pretty nice now. In Philly you just have to live on the north side same as Chicago.

Based on your parameters id prolly choose Boston over Chicago.

I spaced on Pittsburgh, that's a really solid choice. Boston is a really cool city too, but I hate the Bruins sooooo bad that I can't bring myself to consider it. If I were an actual player though I'd probably want to play there.

NC all the way for me.   Tonne of my Florida neighbours whe I lived there all had summer joints in Raleigh or Charlotte to keep cool during the heat season.

I liked the rolling green there as it reminded of a number of areas in Maryland.
