Wings depth once again will prevail.

5-3 Detroit.

Sens fans OD on copium.

I agree, spot on

I think we need to bring back Kocur or someone to teach the guys on this team how to manage a fight or one on one battles.  Probert and Kocur used to go to the Kronk boxing school for lessons.  I am not saying we need to be a goon squad, but I think our guys like Seider may not know the details or may be a little intimidated by these types of situations.  It would be nice having them practice it on the side just so they are more confident in handling themselves in a situation like that.  SY are you listening?  I don't want Seider taking these kind of penalties,  but one of his next steps I feel,  is him making an example of someone just so people around the league take notice.  Then his presence will be more "appreciated"  by the other teams on the ice.  Like a Chris Pronger, everyone knew when he was on the ice.  After you set some examples, I feel you would not have to fight as much in todays game.

Exactly.  Everybody hates Marchand because of his slew footing and cheap shots, but he did that to set the tone - I f u c k with people.  People dont f u c k with me.  The Glover needs to do the same thing.  Fight a few times against the teams that fight.  Dont have to win.  Just gotta engage.  Then the respect is earned and you get left alone.  The Glover doing his gloving thing is just going to lead to our other guys getting run and our goalie getting snowed repeatedly.  Going back to your Pronger example, can u remember one fight particularly where he destroyed someone and sho it was?  nope.  He wasnt Joey Kocur.   But you sure as hell can remember he wasnt gloving everybody all the time.  He'd drop the mitts when it was time.  So good call on the boxing school.  I'd add mma to that too.  I really dont want The Glover breaking his hands.  I want him just to ENGAGE, swing a few times, then wrestle to the ice.  The Xman vs. Reaves fight the other night was a good example of the kind of fights I want The Glover in.

The Glover doesnt fight, Walman separates his shoulder and is out 5 months.  We go 500 for the next 60 games.  Solid plan, Colin.

Yah,

That makes sense.  We'll have The Glover do 5 minutes of gloving a game.  Then we'll send out Kostin to get in Malkin's face and say "You think you can just glove the Glover all game and get away with it?"  LAME.  Why not just have The Glover learn how to handle himself like a MAN?  Like every other hockey player in the history of hockey has learned how to handle himself like a MAN?  Gretzky, Lemieux, Larionov, Datsyuk, etc.  Gloving someone is meant as a show of disrespect to another player.  It's a quick gesture that you do when you want to say "Smell my a s s."  It's not meant as a method of self defense.  The Glover needs to get this straightened out fast, or he's going to be a laughing stock around the league instead of an intimidating presence.  The wheels are in motion already, so I hope Yzerman and Lalonde are paying attention.  The Wings are going to get RUN a lot if they continue to win and not wet the beak of the other team a little bit towards the end with a fight or two.  That's basic hockey code.  Since the game started.  One of the cool nuances of hockey.  The Glover is breaking the code right now.  That's not good.

Fabbri out 4 weeks.

Hate it, but unfortunately,  it is looking like we may have to move on from Fabs.  I like him but I don't think he has played a full season yet.   It has to be depressing for him as he has worked so hard.   I don't think Steve will just dump him because of injury but in a future deal, it would be hard to give him what he will probably want.

Re-signing Fabbri was always a head scratcher. We traded away better players and opted to keep the worse one with the worst medical history. Now we will sell lower on him...

Yah, and at his VERY BEST, does he bring any more to the table than Soderblom or Berggren?  He's my next whipping boy after the Scab 5 (Chiarot, Petry, Ghost, Holl, Maatta).

I agree.  We have young talent that matches his ability, and  many will probably end up better,  that we need to make room for.

I don't mind him being signed as I think he was young and still growing his game at the time.  But I think he has hit a ceiling at this point and just cannot stay healthy.  I see him retiring early.

You can find Youtube videos of all of these pacifists with their gloves off.  The Glover has yet to remove his.  He's 6'3", 210 lbs mind you.

So you just need Glover to fight one time and never again?

I honestly think that might be enough.  Im definitely NOT looking for him to win a fight or even punch anybody hard.  I just want him to learn that GLOVING is not a thing.  It's the MOST ESTROGEN FILLED, NON ATHLETIC, NON SPORTING, BIG HAIRY P U S S Y thing I've ever seen in hockey the way The Glover does it.  It makes Claude Lemieux's turtling look tough.  It has got to be stopped, Colin. Other teams and other fans are going to catch on and laugh at this nonsense if it keeps up.
