Maybe Yzerman is signing these future Griffins because he has a trade happening and we are losing a young D and a F?

I haven't seen an official Miller trade yet, nor has Byram been dealt.

I wouldnt hate Byram. But then again, I don't know how I feel about trying to fix our defense by adding two Buffalo Sabres.

With what Yzerman's been doing I'll be surprised if he's in on Ehlers...If we're done with UFA/trades then we may as well acknowledge that we'll once again be shy of the playoffs with this current roster.

IDK man, go talk to jacky fans. They liked having him around. He's definately a bottom 6er at this point in his career, but CBJ liked him fot his ability to jump into a top6 role and play well when needed.

If you recall, SY tried to acquire JVR at the 2023 TDL, but the trade with the flyers fell apart at the last second. 

Obviously not going to be an impact player for us. Think this is more of a character/leadership signing. And we certainly need more of both of those things.

That he's a passenger basically. Doesn't drive play in either end. Have to staple him to a really good D partner to make him work out. 

And yeah we have a guy in Seider that we could hitch him to... but those kinda comments about his play spook me. I certainly wouldnt pay top dollar in a trade for a guy like that.
