I think the bigger issue is the piss poor attitude our guys are displaying. I don't remember players coming out in the media like this complaining. Be a professional and discuss these things with the coach and GM rather than going through the media. Grow up. This isn't how the red wings do things.

Okay - so after reading some more THIS ugly logo will be the one on top of the arena and not the red wings logo - that is disgusting - I'm sorry.

I would really love to see holland go. There is too much nostalgia and "loyalty" floating around right now. We need someone impartial to turn what aging guys we have left into assets for the future rather than losing them for nothing when the back wheels fall off. The roster and organization needs a culture change - I'm not saying everything needs to change - but this attitude of simply making the playoffs and no sense of desperation to win is trash.

It's amazing how E never sits. Quincey is just as much a vet as he is and is sitting. E has been a dumpster fire all year and in previous ones.

Blashill's changes are welcome ones - only thing id say is that Smith should be in for E. I don't get it. I hope that glendening sheahan abby line does some damage with all those big bodies. AA and Tatar would be so much sweeter if Mantha and not Andersson was on it.

I like the top 2 lines though.

The thing that upsets me the most is that EVERYONE knew coming in that we would have to stop the johnson line. Blashill hasn't done anything to slow them down and nor has he made any adjustments. Pisses me off seeing johnson with 6 points in 2 games...

The sad thing about this whole mess is that we had both Nill and Yzerman in-house and we kept Holland around and let them leave. In one season Nill brought in Sequin and Spezza and in seasons since put great pieces around them. Yzerman has also done great things in Tampa as is obvious to all wings fans right now. Holland has put the same s*** out there every year and let it go stale.

They just need to cut him down to 12-14 minutes a game next season. As a winger. On the third line. With AA centering him.

He needs to work out in the offseason with Jagr. That guy is a horse.

The same can be said for Tampa. There goals weren't exactly great.

Yeah but we give up bad goals every game - they can count on that.

Have you ever coached a team?

There are plenty of positives you can take from a loss.

Rotating in rookies or substituting in a defenceman who hasn't played in almost a month - are desperate moves we don't need to make after a very close game 1. We aren't the 2008 versions of ourselves. We came in 8th place. We aren't supposed to win. Does Brendan Smith change all of that? The guy had 2 assists in the last 17 games he played.

When we win tonight with the exact same lineup - I can't wait to hear what Blashill should have done different to win by a higher margin.

This team can't score more than 2 goals on a good night the way Blashill has them playing. The other team is scoring on all their opportunities. There isn't much positive to take from that.

Exactly. For those saying that Mrazek sucked a "majority of the year"...

Feb 14's game against Boston was his first real bad one and the start of his decline. So in his 16 starts with and after that, he was under .900 save% in 8 of them. So lets say 8 really bad games. He lost 6 games, won 6 games, lost in OT in 1. Out of 49 starts, that's nothing. .233 GAA and .921 save% on the season. Yeah, he was horrible.

Howard's stats are 14-14-5 .906 save% and .906 GAA on the season. Not even a .500 goalie. Now add a playoff loss.

I think the main difference is Mrazek helps the D out the way Bishop does by moving the puck. Both goalies are shaky right now but Mrazek has that edge.

Smith could bring an edge to this game like Abby. The kid has spunk but is always a risk to make a terrible play.

Convinced AA is more effective out there than Z. Why is this kid riding the bench most of the game? He drew a huge penalty and had a couple great chances. Should be rewarded at this point.

Im sorry but where the hell are Dats and Z? They have been silent on their shifts and aren't driving play AT ALL. Need to step up here.
