Now onto the next streak; How many off seasons can he last without getting into trouble with the law?

In Topic: Gustav Nyquist signed 4-Year Deal $4.75 mill AAV

For that cap hit I was hoping we would of gotten another year added to the deal .... A few people are definetly taking a hike now with that 4.75 hit

I know Blashill was talking about giving kindl a shot but gotta think Kenny's gonna do everything to get rid of him

Anyone else we can get rid of ?

Ericsson. The guy is overpaid. Not sure there'd be any takers. Then next year KFQ and Richards are off the books. That's over $10M in space with those 3.

In Topic: Red Wings sign D Mike Green (3-years, $18-million)

Boy seems like no one on our forums feels comfortable letting any new players wear jerseys from the 90s.

Retire #30 , #91, #14, #25, #96, AND everyone's favorite Aaron Ward #27.

And 24...twice!

With the 1-3-1 power-play setup, using one defenseman, I think it kind of defeats the purpose of having that great left-handed (Kronwall) and right-handed (Green) offensive defensemen on separate units.

I'd love to see two different units with two completely different setups, using the 1-3-1 with one defender on one, and the standard 3-2 with two defenders on the other. I've heard people say in the past that a team wouldn't adopt this strategy because it would be difficult to practice two different setups. I really don't think it would be at all, and I think it would really keep the opposition guessing...

I'd like to see something like this...

Power-Play Unit 1

Pulkkinen Datsyuk Zetterberg

Power-Play Unit 2

Nyquist Richards Tatar
Green Smith

I thought it was mentioned by Holland and Blashill that one of the things they brought Richards in for was he can quarterback a PP just like Green? That'd make me think they're both going to be on different PP lines. I do like the lines you have there, though.

In Topic: Depth chart for RW/Griffins

02 July 2015 - 01:18 PM

As of today before any other moves here is the depth chart for both teams. Looks pretty good overall.

Red Wings:

That leaves KFQ to be moved for at least a 3rd round pick-to replace the one we traded away for 2016 and Franzen on LTIR. The only thing I would like to see is a true RHed power forward for the top line with Abby moving to the 3rd line LW.

That leaves 2 holes on the grifs. 4th line LW for the checking line (if we were bold we would sign McKee for the spot!) and a 7th Dmen.

UFA's summer 2016: Richards-let him go, Helm-trade bait?, abby-should be resigned.

Guys out of options: Oullett, Sproul, and jensen.

Team now had great depth. The hard part is waiting and being patient with the young guys to develop. The good part is they now have to earn jobs instead of being handed jobs. the best spot to be.

You left out Callahan somewhere in there.
