Babcock has a soft spot for mostly plug type guys with hands of lead that work their ape-s***-******* ballz off all the time. Like Cleary used to be (only the newf had pretty good hands)

It’s because he’s from the prairies.

He probably slaps Tatar around after every game, while eating steak and watching Justified with Luke.

Srsly though, Glendenning’s great IMO.

Whats wrong with having a strong third line with Legwand at the center? They would have to try Sheahan at wing a C is bound to get hurt to open up a spot anyway.

Z-D-Alfie

Franzen-Weiss-Nyquist

Tatar-Legwand-Jurco

Ab-Helm-Sheahan

Miller-Andy-Glendenning/Callahan/Ferraro

Jurco probably won't start with the team but a new "two kids..." line looks pretty good. It would be nice to have the privilege  another skill guy to go with D and Z, yea it's nice to have a "puck retriever" on that line, but its not like those aren't already the three hardest working guys on the team.

Man they going to have a surplus of F next year, but those lines look niiiiice

I'd like to see at least a pre-season game with Z-Dats-Mantha.

Ive lost all faith in wings training staff after this year...

...*takes off tinfoil hat*

Can't remember if it was Roberts or not, but it probably was. He's known for his conditioning program.

Hire him as a trainer or some sort of fitness adviser, why not. Or even put him on the coaching staff. Can't be any worse than what we've had this season.

Thankyou for knowing what im talking about so i dont sound crazy.

#2498597 James Neal Cross-Check to Glendening's Head [GIF] - Suspension?

Posted by kipwinger on 21 March 2014 - 09:24 AM

Well I'd definitely prefer Legwand have more situational awareness, but in hindsight, good on him.  Very veteran move.  Reminds me of Chelios.  Let those punks know they don't get to do work on you easily.

Edit:  The outcomes are good all the way around.  I'm glad nobody got suspensions.  In my opinion these are both VERY borderline plays, illegal?  Yes.  Severe?  No.  Penalties were enough in both instances.

If you think that's funny you're probably downright beside yourself when you think about how your team just dropped three straight to mediocre teams.  Bodes really well for your chances of getting past Boston, Tampa, Montreal, or Philly...

Oh s***, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say Philly this close to a Pens' fan's bedtime.  I don't want to give you nightmares.  Have a good sleep, you'll probably drift away like a baby knowing your team absolutely murders bottom feeders like Detroit...oh wait.  Nighty night.

Teams are entering playoff mode to fight for a playoff berth, so it is of no surprise the Pens are starting to lose. #regularseasonteam

I'm sorry, what's going on?  Did I miss a memo that said you had to debate "penalty calls" with a fan of the opposing team who just lost to our AHL team?  Scoreboard my man!

Posted by nyqvististhefuture on 05 March 2014 - 04:23 PM

If it's true what someone said jarnkrok was threatening to leave for brynas then why not ummm call him up??? No f***en trade him for a ufa lmfao

At this point he could of Been a key piece for kesler

This trade is absolute garbage and I know it's not legwands fault but I hate him for this trade I don't care I want him to bomb so Kenny can get his as kicked by illitch's goons and get his ass fired

Im starting to think Ken Holland doesn't actually exist.

#2489087 Canadians may be shopping Subban...

Posted by LAWings on 04 March 2014 - 12:10 PM

No. No. No.....no

We don't need Subban or his attitude, he wouldn't be a good fit, he's a player that comes above the team not the other way around.  Babs would hate him...probably why he didn't see any ice time on Team Canada.  If Subban was that awesome, Babs would have played him then.

There's a reason he gets regularily benched at the end of the game when Montreal is in the lead.  He's absolutely not the answer we are looking for on defense.

I also think they got it wrong that he was the best defenseman last year.

#2489226 Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

Posted by Dabura on 04 March 2014 - 03:20 PM

We're gonna stand pat and then Kronwall is gonna slip on a puck and break his arms. Then we're gonna wish we hadn't stood pat. Then we're gonna re-sign Quincey.

If we are allowed to dream, since Nill is in Dallas I think we should try to swing a trade for Goligoski.

How bout Weiss, Anderson, Quincey, and Almquist for Kesler, Edler, and prospect.

Gillis would be hanged.

We really should have gotten Bouwmeester. Flames probably wanted Cleary though
