#2514210 ADQF | Game 3 | Boston 3 @ Detroit 0, BOS leads series 2-1

If you've got an analytical mind and you really want to piss yourself off, mosey on over to the box score and have a look at the ice times for various Red Wings.  Here's a couple fun things that stand out...

1.  Jurco and Legwand nearly had as little 5-on-5 ice time as Shawn Thornton:  If these two didn't run a train on Bab's wife to get in his doghouse, they probably should now so they'll at least deserve the punishment.

2.  Andersson, 8:17 seconds:  If you aren't going to play him why call him up?  Surely Bertuzzi is better than Andersson for 8 minutes a night.

3.  Kindl, 18:02:  Lol.

4. Legwand, 15 shifts:  2 more than Jordan Caron, Boston's worst player.  7 fewer than Brian Lashoff, our worst player.

This whole thing is just insane. Babs is just bracing Jurco and Kindl for next year, when a) Jurco is back in GRs and b) Kindl is on the 2nd pairing.  :w00t:

Dudes!! I’m very much afraid that blaming Howard for this loss or the loss in the last game puts us very definitively in "Leaf-Land". Toronto blamed Reimer for their epic meltdown.

Do we really want to start acting like Leaf fans?  :blind:

The truth is, the Leafs missed the playoffs, not because of Reimer, Phanuef, or Clarkson. They missed because, as a team, they were soft between the ears, lacked character, and leadership.

Now Detroit’s problems don’t run this deep obviously, but maybe we’re down 2-1 to Boston because of team play.

Also, the Bruins just might be the better team.

He must be hurt. That's the easiest way to explain his poor play.

Marchand is an elite pest and crease crasher, I wish Detroit had a guy like him.

I don't.

We did.

#2512817 2014 draft thoughts.

Obviously we need to draft:

1) a new #1 goalie because Howard Sucks

2) a new coach because Babcock sucks

3) a new GM because Holland sucks

4) and all new players for next year because everyone sucks

5) and also, whoever Boston drafts. Because Boston are awesome.

Sound about right?

No it's not.

Chiarelli has done a great job building a team.  Holland did a good job sustaining an already immensely successful machine.  I think Chiarelli is a better GM in today's NHL than Holland is.  Kenny could learn a lot from Chiarelli on how to make good trades and free agent moves.

Chiarelli wouldn't have brought back a Samuelsson or trade a first for Quincey.

Yes it was. It was totally reactionary, over the top, and it made you look fickle. Like "OMFG we’re losing game 2 after winning game 1 so now our GM sucks and I wish we had a team like Boston!!!!!!"

Meanwhile everyone else in the league has, at one time or another wished they had a team like Detroit. Including Boston fans after game 1.

Having the series tied against such a good team is a good thing. I didn't expect the Wings to win but for sure to put up a fight can't ask for more. Boston is by far the best team in the East again

By winning game 1 we stole home ice advantage. That’s at least a positive thing.

As much as I want to retaliate the wings need to calm down and not get physical. We cant beat them physically.

Exactly. I was a s frustrated by that period as much as anyone - I even got a mod warning  :w00t:

But we the fans need to calm down and the Wings most certainly have to get re-focused and not engage.

We’ve fallen into the Bruins trap 100%.

Babcock’s got his work cut out for him.

Zero chance he’ll get suspended.

But he should, and what you’re saying about tone is 100% true.

That should curb-stomp any lingering “Olympic Animosity” people have towards Datsyuk.

I love the meme starting to build on message boards and some bloggers in Boston: "It sure would be nice to get our injured guys back. That cost us"

YOU want injured guys back?

That’s one of the funniest gifs I’ve ever seen.

The thing about Glendenning: his body seems to be an extension of Babcock's brain.

So basically, Luke does everything Babcock asks him to do. That why coach loves him. (compared to Tootoo, who Babcock had no control over, and didn't like as a player, at all)

Babcock will tell him to play on the edge but not to cross any lines, and that's exactly what Glendenning will do. No worries.
