Watch this board's general opinion completely flip on Lebda if he has the slightest bit of success...

never understood the hatred here for lebda. a solid d-man with speed. obviously 1.45M would've been too steep for the wings so good for him getting that deal, but you guys are s***ting on him like he was a scrub. am i the only one that actually liked this guy (a little)?

His number should be retired. Just so no one else ever wears it for fear of it being cursed forever in suckiness. Those few Leafs fans who miss Aki Berg will finally see him replaced properly.

His speed was the only thing he had going for him. Fortunately the speed of his game didn't coincide with the rest of the guys on the ice at the time. He was poor at best with two thirds of his game. I don't hate him. Good for him getting over paid and putting himself under the microscope there in Toronto. He will probably will play decent now. Typical of past Wings that have moved on.

If Getzlaf played the way he did against us in the playoffs two years ago all the time then yes. Wasn't he hurt or had the flu, what ever it was dude was a beast. None of the Wings could move him.

I love the fact Lombardi stood his ground on the Kovalchuk talks. And now Kovalchuk goes back to Lombardi and the Kings to talk more. I think it's down to SKA, LA, or NJ

I put 40-50 because I think there will be an adjustment to the size of the ice surface. I also think Hudler will feel a need to prove himself, to prove that he is still a Red Wing. Not saying I feel he does, because I have no problem with him spending the year in the KHL, it was the only way he was not wearing another uni in the NHL. I don't think he will jump right in and start scoring tons. He will have new linemates which also takes an adjustment period. I think next year is the year he puts up his best season in the NHL. EDIT: Also the Wings are not the same team that he put up 57 points on, he will be relied on, counted on to score. Dan CLeary is not what he was 2 seasons ago (injuries or whatever facts are facts) Flip is better but I don't think they will be on the same line, though I think they should.

We also have one of the best top 2 d-pairs in the leagues so it makes sense.
