Does this really pass as valid criticism? A variance in scoring between one game and the next? I hate to be that guy that says "you don't know hockey," but you have to watch that or just about any sport for about five minutes to understand that scores will vary, often wildly, between games. However these "inconsistent" Red Wings have found a kindred spirit in a team I believe you hold dear. Let me direct you to the case of Montreal v. Pittsburgh, wherein the Pens scored six goals in the first game but then required the next four games combined to reach that total. Perhaps their age is catching up with them -- 23 is the new 40.

However, I caution you against doing so, as you could obliterate the space-time continuum. If you don't have access to time-bending machinery, I suggest you simply sit still and accept that Quincey's development couldn't have been foreseen, and accept that when he was put on waivers, he was worth about as much as Meech is now. Alternatively, you could continue your mindless complaining. However, I don't recommend it.

Why aren't Nyquist and Sheahan, two of the most promising prospects, in? Don't see Almqvist either... Pulkkinen still injured? Is it because Nyquist and Sheahan are in the NCAA and is forbidden to participate? or? And I know SEL just kicked off or will pretty soon, but can't he join the camp anyways?

Oh, sure. Give away all of our secrets. Once they are out of the college (NCAA) program, they can come to camp and/or join the team. Of course, they can just drop out of college and play if they want to. I'm thinking that's what Abby did.

God, people need to forget the 'too old' thing. Every year we're too old, and every year we do it. Almost as long as I've been a fan of Detroit, we've been too old. Yet we've won more cups in the past 20 years than anyone else. Maybe everyone else is just too young?

You did sign well on D, but I really like Gonchar, and I don't think he'll be easily replaced. Top 3? Only time will tell. The Hawks have been weakened this summer. I really don't see them as a threat next season. Between the Cup Hangover and basically re-organizing their lesser players, they have a lot of work to do to ice a contender. Once their new guys get some time together, they may well be on the road to more success, but not this season. EDIT: Forgot to add- I don't think I've seen too many people misspell Staal. Usually it's only the ones who can't spell anything else. Don't take it personally.

Yeah, I know. I once thought about doing a 29 forums in 29 days thing, where I'd try to get banned from all 29 forums around the NHL. Then I found out about this rule on LGW about not trolling on other teams' forums, so I never did it. I wonder why we have a rule on LGW, which controls what members do on other forums?
