Congratulations to the Phoenix Coyotes

Glad to see Detroit get the win, but also would be appropriate to take the time and congratulate the Coyotes on another good season, it's a shame that they don't know whether or not they'll continue to be able to turn it around in Phoenix. Regardless, they've improved their team and should be proud of the success they've had the last few years. Let's be gracious winners and give credit where it's due. -

Nice to see that the Red Wings have douchey fans like any other team. It makes us oh, so much more human. Do you kids not understand the concept of "sportsmanship"? It means not kicking someone when they're down. Sure, you can have an opinion against the Yotes, but that's what the other threads on the board are for. This is about winning with respect and dignity, which our team commanded throughout the series, and we are now extending to our erstwhile adversaries. Embarrassing that some kids nowadays have been taught no manners, dignity, grace, or class. -

NEW Custom Wings Fan Shirts now on sale!
Jedi and one other reacted to ACallToArms for a post in a topic
Matt, is it possible to put the Lets Go Wings logo on the back of the shirt? Something like this: http://letsgowings.spreadshirt.com/letsgowings-com-logo-C11995 Or even the logo near the back neck of the shirt. Think it would be a cool addition, and would promo the site. -
1 pointAs much as I dislike Ruutu I really can't see how that's even a penalty. Looks like a good hit to me. Frankly I don't know how Erat went down like that, either he got especially unlucky with the way that landed or he was busting out some ballerina moves to draw the penalty. As for the suspension... Ruutu is a well-known pest / dirty player while Kunitz isn't exactly high on the Pens goon list, so that probably plays a part. It is silly though, the Kunitz elbow was a cowardly attempt to injure and if Gagne had pulled a Shakespeare performance on it it would've been more than one game. I despise this soccer mentality of embellishing everything in order to get an edge that's creeping in lately.

1 pointUhhh... Seriously? I can't see a single thing wrong with that hit except Erat selling it Ribeiro style.

Jimmy Howard had a great series. Hard for me to vote for anyone else. #13 and #43 are right up there as well. -

You can't vote against anyone, but honestly? Is this really a thread? Datsyuk was a game-changer, more than anyone in the playoffs so far. -

... both of whom have had some horrendous games thus far. -
1 pointMethinks this is their way of apologizing for no Norris this year.

1 pointThrough four games: NHL ranks: Points: 3rd +\-: 2nd Team ranks: Points: 2nd SOG: 3rd +\-: 2nd This is why he makes 3mil. Not for his average regular season statistics, but because he is one of the handful of players who actually plays better in the playoffs.

Congratulations to the Phoenix Coyotes
Uncle Danny reacted to webwing91 for a post in a topic
Despite being a Wings fan my whole life, I was definitely cheering for Phoenix this year. However, the Wings really and truly played flawless Red Wings hockey from beginning to end. The Yotes didn't play their game until game 4, but regardless there was no chance for them. There are tougher teams out there, but if they play like they did this series, the Wings will be tough to beat. That said, I am still ridiculously proud of the Phoenix Coyotes. They've done so much with so little, against so much. There is so much hate out there for my city. For my home. But in the midst of this negativity this team has been an inspiration, a beacon of hope. To me these two teams are what hockey and life is all about. Doing things the right way, undeniable heart, and never backing down. Anyways, onto the next series. Go Wings! (And long live the Phoenix Coyotes).
