I'm not too sure what the trades would look like. I'm just pointing out a few of the salary dump players that we could potentially target. As for what we'd have to give up in those trades, nothing. Maybe a late round pick or a nothing prospect. 1st round picks are great, but I'd also be looking at young roster players / prospects.

Only a full NMC is forced protection. Anything less then that does not have to be protected. That's how it was with the Vegas draft. Nielsen had a full NMC at that time. Now he has a modified no trade clause only. Either include a list of seven forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender OR eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goaltender Players with a "No Movement" clause must be protected if the player does not waive the clause First and second-year professional players and unsigned draft picks are not eligible for the expansion draft and won't need to be protected All other players are eligible for the Expansion Draft Nielsen is on a modified NTC where he has to submit a list of ten teams he's not willing to play for.
