Yeah, because everybody Nashville or anywhere further South is either a Redneck or a Coon Ass. Preds have only been in existance for a decade so the 10 Cups argument is kinda moot, with Detroit being in existance since 1926 (?) compared to Nashville in the mid-90s, I'd expect Detroit to have just a few more Cups and for it not to be something to boast about and tell Preds fans to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Detroit won in their 10th season. So there is no excuse why they don't win this year.

I do believe that there was a smatter of booing when the game was canceled, but nothing big. Who knows who the poster was that said they were booing Fischer, could be a 13 year old kid who doesn't know any better. We all know that Preds fans say stuff about the wings that aren't true, and we all know that Wings fans say stuff about the preds that aren't true. I mean, if you read a Wings-Preds GDT, youd think that Scott Hartnell was a baby raper and Tomas Vokoun tries to poison your mother in his off-time.

Honestly, I haven't even looked at that thread. I know what will be said in there, and there are many level headed, knowledgable fans over there who should be able to respond appropriately.

I know what you're saying Harold. I just think they're full of s*** and taking what may or may not have ocurred and making it seem bigger than what we all know it was. All I recall is utter silence. If there was some booing, nobody can say how many people booed or who booed. Was it Wings fans? Was it out of town hockey fans? Was it a Preds fans making the trip or local Preds fans? Was it the drunken bachelor party in the upper bowl? The comment makes it seem as though we were booing like we do when Bettman steps out on the ice.

It sounded like the PReds fan was trying to say they booed Fischer, which isn't true at all. But I think there were a few boos when the game was cancelled.

My main thing is, why do people go looking at the Pred site and get all worked up at what they see there?

At least they direct most of their hate at us, where ours seems to be directed mostly at our own team.

People did boo after the game was cancelled... because no one knew what was going on. After they explained what happened people realized, but I can't get all high and mighty about something like that.

The problem with what those Predator fans were saying is that they were making it sound like fans were booing Fischer, which isn't true.

I heard one distinct boo, which sounded like it came from some fat, drunken bastard sitting behind the guy with the camera phone. Other than that it sounds just like a lot of commotion. We all know what a unified boo sounds like at a sporting event. So either my ears are failing me at 30 or there wasn't hardly any booing at all. At least I didn't hear any real booing in that clip.

I looked at the thread and I didn't get worked up, but I am somewhat bothered. There was just a lot of untrue information and incorrect judgements about Detroit and the fans, and I think that would bother anyone. Knowing that others have the wrong impression, it makes you want to correct the impression. I'm just hopeful that the rest of the Nashville fans don't have the views the people on those boards have.

Good god, man. People on both sides going apes*** and dropping all sense of maturity. We're Wings fans. Have some class, our organization does and it deserves fans that do as well.

For what it's worth, I get pretty angry about the stupid lengths people go to on the Blues boards to get at us. It doesn't make much sense to me, but there's no incentive there to fire back. The comparison of cities and fans is stupid, too. I've vacationed to Nashville numerous times. My family comes from Arkansas. South is no different than north. There are good things and bad things.

If there was the odd boo, it was because they had to sit there for like an hour before they came to the decision to cancell the game. I'm sure after the intial dissapointment of the game being completly canceled had past, they realized it was for the best.

All that being said, I'm a Wings fan and I think that alot of fans are either fair weather, or spoiled/greedy.

It's the same here though. There is a lot of untrue information and incorrect judgements about Nashville and the fans. Anytime that a group of fans start talking about a place they they've never been to, or don't frequent. Or if they're talking about a group of fans that they aren't part of, or are rarely exposed to. Or if they're talking about a team that they don't watch, or rarely get to see and get to know that team... then there will be a lot of misinformation floating about.

South is no different than north. There are good things and bad things.

I've never understood why some Detroit fans think they have any room to rip on another city or state. I love Detroit and I know it has made progress, but it was called the Beruit of America. That's not a good thing. Michigan has a third world economy and horrible weather. Are we really in any position to make fun of another city/state?
