I mean, i know he was lucky to be on the receiving end for the GWG, but please... he's -2 on the night and didn't do anything the whole game and as soon as i saw his trademark blue line wrister i immediately thought to myself "oh how i DIDN'T miss you Sammy"... bleh Franzen better not be injured is all i want from this game. I was at the game and he was doing a LOT of little things right. I dont even like the guy, but he had a solid game. I cant really fault any of the forwards for the goals against tonight. It felt like I was watching the series with Edmonton from last year, perimeter shots, 50 some odd shots total and only 2 goals (until the OT winner). I would suspect that Franzen's "injury" is something lingering since he didn't practice before the game tonight. It's a good chance to rest up guys who don't need to risk anything serious happening and to give the GR guys some experience in case they're needed come playoff time. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 another nail-biter tonight. the wings made it tougher than they had to on themselves, but the got the w, so that's all that matters. good to see us winning in ot, too. dats looked great, lebda too. lilja wasn't too bad. i thought schneider looked pretty bad out there, and kronwall looked especially terrible tonight. anyway, it was a fun game to watch. i love it when we win close games that go down to the wire, so exciting! They had Kings @ Predators in their opening graphics. 1st period: We were all lazy and sucky. Except Hasek. 2nd & 3rd period: More shots and effort. But not enough quality in the shots though,most of them were easy for Burke. PK worked fine. This game made me think should we re-sign Schneider after all,Kronwall was terrible. I don't necessarily like games like last night, but I like when wins are still the outcome. I'm definitely not suggesting the Wings play half-a**ed for 25 minutes then turn it up, but you get the idea. Give the team credit for just peppering away and peppering away at Burke. Some were the bad/no screen shots that are all too familiar, but you just got to keep peppering away sometimes. This is a game the Wings probably should've won 5-1 if they showed up for the entire 60 minutes, but I'm not complainging that much, they still got 2 points, and the Kings aren't going to roll over and die even though they aren't doing that good right now.
