RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 (edited) The official playoff slogan is "Join The Red Wave." It's not that bad, I guess. The only past one I can think of off the top of my head is "Turn The Red Light On," which really upset me because of the wording. Quite obviously, it should have been "Turn On The Red Light," but maybe that was too Police for their liking. RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 I'm pretty sure it is official because I swear I read it on the season ticket playoff order forms. I could be wrong, but I'm almost 100% sure on this. The slogan this year should read: "Let's Get Out Of The First Round!"
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 wasn't the play-off slogan for the Wings before the lock-out year "seein red" ? heh..

Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Just finished watching the game, had a prior engagement to attend so I had to dust off the VCR and record the second half. Damn I'm happy right now, still a little bittersweet to see yet another injury with Flip leaving in the third, but we still won, once again getting the shaft from the refs too. Though this was an improvment over last game. On a related note, I'm never chosing us to beat the Preds EVER AGAIN. This marks my 4th legit wrong prediction in a row so I'm making this a tradition. For the information of inquiring minds I missed the entire OT lose so never got the chance to predict it's outcome.

Let 'em see red, is and will probably always be my favorite.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Sorry I took so long to post. Hudler was just awesome last night. He's really proving he wants to stay on the roster come playoff time. Another hard working game by Calder. I swear, this was such a good pickup by Ken Holland. I can't say enough good things about the guy. And being it was an empty netter, I'm glad Maltby scored last night. He's still one my favorite players on the Wings, even if he has taken a step or two back. All in all, a good game last night. Great job boys!
jpfalcon09 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Was at the game last night, what a treat. Crowd was really electric, it was as close as you could get to a playoff atmosphere without it being a playoff game. Dom was outstanding in the first, he really saved the game for the team, Wings were kind of lethargic in the 1st, but that quickly changed. Robert Lang is unstoppable when he's going. He had the Nashville players backing in so much on defense, they really respected him and his creativity. Hudler has a great shot and is pretty sneaky, and Calder just makes that line chug. He does everything that Williams didn't do, Lang feeds off that and Hudler reaps the benefits. I thought Schneider was awful, and I really hope he's gone at the end of the year. He's a step slow and isn't the physical prescence he once was when he was with LA and even early on with the Wings. Splitting up him and Kronner helped the D in the 3rd, Kronner looked much more comfortable moving the puck and not getting caught. Officiating was brutal again, but the Wings PK was really good the whole night. Datsyuk has really become a good penalty killer, he's very sound positionally in his own end. On a last note, there were two white trash Nashville guys sitting about 8 rows behind us that had that freaking Tootoo whistle and of course had to blow it whenever he stepped on the ice. They're both lucky that no one beat the hell out of them for being so annoying. Needless to say when the 3rd came around and Huddles scored, they shoved the whistle where the sun don't shine and could only hang their heads when the final horn went off.
