datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 what a great game. wings played a full 60 for once and controlled play for most of it. great game by hasek and dats and it was nice to see flip on dat's line at the end there and it got datsyuk his second best chance of the night. i hope babs will keep flip up with dats and bert. kronwall :nonono: what a disappointment he's been. another terrible game for him with multiple give-aways in the defensive zone. and sammy sucks too. anyway, i am happy. those losing streaks are tough to endure. The Wings defense was getting back into form, but there were still several moments where Dom had to make big time stops to keep us in it, early and late. Just what we need. He has improved greatly in my opinion then in years past. He is finally shooting a little more, and finiding the back of the net. still an excellent stick handler/deker and can make amazing passes. Sidenote on the fight: I really thought Lilja had the better of the punches. Although Moen did take him down, Lilja had 3 or 4 good shots on him, and I thought he got the nod in it. If memory serves me correct, he only threw 2 punches didnt he? One looked to have grazed Moen...but after that it was all Moen with Lilja bailing while taking some rights. No way does he get the nod. I think coming out of the Nashville series they just slowed down, which they talked about during the game (specifically mentioned Scotty warning Mike that this would happen). Those other games, we didn't come to play, we were sluggish, etc. so we weren't going to net much. Tonight was just a tight, defensive battle. Yess I noticed that as well. Good for him. If he continues to step it up, I think we will see many great things from him in the future!
