I really do hope I'm wrong....***** about the refs all you want, but our players know what they've been calling all year...that stick, in Calgary on Iginla...gets called Lidstrom. You should know that. Hasek had no chance on the 3rd goal but he hasn't saved his team yet either. Goaltending advantage for CGY will be evident in the 3rd... ALSO... I love Dom, I know he's a legend and an all time great, but watch how Kiprusoff gets his big body in position to deal with deflections by coming out more. If he can do that, why can't Dom do that on an deflection just inside the blueline. Yes, I guess he was screened, but so is Kipper on every play...just one more thing to deal with.... This could go two ways...04 Nashville or 04 Cgy/06 EDM...I hope it's the latter, but right now I have little doubt we return home 2-2 s***ty birthday. Dude. BELIEVE. Try it. Still 20 minutes left. Has some of the calls in tonight's game been repulsive? Absolutely. But my blame sits with the Red Wings and the teams' total lack of an adequate power play or penalty kill. And like I said earlier, I seriously think a LOT of the blame for our inept PP can be placed on Babcock's shoulders for consistently putting Sammy in there on the point. The first team to win a road game will win this series, otherwise, look out... going to be a long 7 games. The back-to-back series isn't going to help Detroit. The 5th wing was back in the defensive zone for the 1st goal. Also, if you want to complain about how "good" goals are.. go play in a pick up league where you can be fancy and winning is a pure skills competition. This is the NHL playoffs. One of your goals was a lucky and weird bounce off the boards that went right in front of the net on to Berts stick, so if you're going to whine and pull the "quality of goals" card.. at least get it right. And seriously, what good has Sammy brought to our team... what does he possibly offer that Hudler can't?? with the exception of size, but sammy dosen't use his body effectively anyways... so he's absolutely worthless. I see them winning 4-3 This is how I see it. 3-3 going into the last 3 or 4 minutes, Detroit scores a late goal, then puts in the empty netter and lands themselves a 5-3 win. Yes, the PP and PK need work, but the bulls*** calls shouldn't cost us the game, and they are. Calgary is pathetic and can only score on their stupid PP, and it blows more than Engblom does. And sadly, we've had to say this for at least the past three postseasons. I hate to say it, but this series is beginning to follow the pattern of the 04 Calgary series and the 06 Edmonton series. I cannot beleive how bad the game has been ruined with the crap they call penalties!!! Obvious penaties are NOT called and crap like Datsyuk and Iginla's hooking calls, although Jeromes was closer to being a hook than Dats, but Sheesh, if the REAL game of Hockey was being played NEITHER of those would have been. And neither would half the calls tonight! I'm done! Until Betman is fired and the game is restored, I will not watch another game, even if the Wings go on to win the Cup, my taste buds are ruined! More determination than us, more grit than us, and always a better goalie than us. I am really getting tired of it. This is the 2nd game in this series where we haven't taken over like we should. We should have taken over this series like the Ranger did with the Thrashers. Hasek should be standing on his head, and what is the deal with Lidstrom? Well, if you want to be scoresheet technical, yes, only one goal from the 2 5-on-3's. But the first PPG Calgary scored was ONE SECOND after the penalty to Schneider had expired.
