At both games in Anaheim the guy wouldnt remove his helmet and respect the Flag of the USA. 2 games stood there with his helmet on while the Anthem was sung. Does he not appreciate the country he makes a living in? Does he do this at JLA?

Does he not appreciate the country he makes a living in? Does he do this at JLA? If I'm not mistaken, he always leaves his helmet on, it's probably one of those superstitious goalie things......I personally don't think its a big deal..... Does he not appreciate the country he makes a living in? Does he do this at JLA? Have you ever watched Hasek in the 14 years he's played hockey in the US? He's always left his helmet on - it's an unusual style and it's harder to take on and off than the molded masks. It's not disrespect at all. Hasek is the only goalie I've ever seen who lays his equipment down, skates out between the circles and stands at attention with his hands behind his back, like a soldier on watch, during any anthem, every game, season after season. No other goalie pays that kind of attention and respect to the anthem. Others stand in their crease, fiddling with equipment or messing with the ice, or in some cases, turning their back to the flag to "concentrate" on the upcoming game. I will stop short of saying you're reaching for something to complain about, since you obviously haven't seen Dom play before this round or you would know the scoop. Dom is probably the most respectful player on the ice. I understand you're looking for something to start trouble with. Don't worry, Dom and the Wings will give you all plenty of trouble on Sunday. Um, no, I simply asked if he always does this. Far from a wings fan, havent paid attention to Hasek pregame even when I bet for or against the Wings this season, never watched the National Anthem. I live in Orange County and saw him with his lid on for the Anthem twice. Get it now?
Shockwave180 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Our goalie's GAA is greater than 0.00? Trade him. Now. What? "Trade Deadline?!" What in Satan's Hell is that? Osgood Forever!!!!!!
Dominator2005 558 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Crymson you are a tool. Hasek one of the best stats tenders etc has one cup. Give me a break. The guy sucked tonight and has had awful games this playoff. You cant be so blind, unless you are actually blind. What's your problem man??? Maybe you should try to find you a girlfriend or a boyfriend...

I assume you've never watched Buffalo or Ottawa either, or the Olympics, or any All Star Games or other hockey aside from the Yucks. I am willing to bet on that fact, actually. Are you actually 15, because if you are, it explains a lot. What's your problem man??? Maybe you should try to find you a girlfriend or a boyfriend... He just needs to learn to watch hockey, actually, or he'd know why Hasek has one Cup. The team is actually usually involved in winning A Cup. It's not an individual effort. Packer487 3 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 In honor of the original poster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e6yEacAguk Seriously, this is the worst thread ever. Hasek is the problem? Until last night his GAA was like 1.5! His save percentage was like 93%. Quite frankly, he's the biggest reason that we're even in the conference final. I won't address the Osgood stuff because I don't really want to start a war but I don't even think the most loyal Osgood fans would try to say that we'd be better off with him in net. That's just completely and utterly asinine. He had an average game instead of a great one. And I'll tell you think much, if we win game 5, this thing is over in 6, because Dom is MONEY in elimination games (7-0 as a Wing, with a sub 1.00 goals against). Take a ******* pill, good God. -Tim

therock48880 14 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Puck bag change your name to ****** Bag. No I dont jump ship, I call players out and piss all of you off. If you guys think its just been one game with Hasek, have you watched any games this year? HC let me guess he will come out and prove it in game 5 and then s*** the bed in game 6? I wish my job paid me so much to work 50% of the time. HC let me guess he will come out and prove it in game 5 and then s*** the bed in game 6? I wish my job paid me so much to work 50% of the time. Nice mature name-calling there at the top. Here's Dom's save % the past 8 games: .926 .926 .958 1.000 .969 .879 1.000 .818 Maybe you struggled with Math, but tha'ts hardly 50% of the time. Last night's game was horrible, I'm not denying that but for you to be on here making things up without being able to validate any of it is a waste of everyone's time. WingsWingsWings 3 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Hasek is in fact an ass clown..... You are still using that term. I am still waiting to hear what it means. At least you haven't used "butt hurt" in this thread yet. (Or at least as far as I have read!!) You're funny........ Hey whats the scoop on Hasek? Does he not appreciate the country he makes a living in? Does he do this at JLA? I have seen lots of goalies do this. What is the big deal? Some players don't remove their helmets either. He pays tribute by not chewing gum... by not bobbing and rocking. When it comes to how you present yourself during anthems... to each their own. I see several Americans that wear hats during it, chat on their cell phones... yell foolish chants... throw octipi on the ice during it.... By the way... russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Did Dom play well from what I saw yesterday, not inparticularly but he didnt play awful either. The guy has been amazing all playoffs, and has stole games for us. one game and everyone is pissed at him? He is a great goalie, and he is capable of winning the cup. It is one game calm down. Giguere had a comperable game in game 3 and then played like his old self and stole last nights game with a great effort in net. Hasek will be damn near unbeatable in game 5 I gaurentee it. omnipotent_hudler 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Hasek one of the best stats tenders etc has one cup. Holy s***... You seriously haven't figured out why this is? I mean you really can't deduce why he only has one stanley cup? Remember that stuff about him playing on awful teams and yet still carrying them on his back until he came to Detroit? Maybe? Yeah. That might have something to do with it, eh? Give me a break. Uhh, no. No one is going to "give you a break" when you start a thread bashing Hasek. You want a break? Don't post these pointless threads. The guy sucked tonight and has had awful games this playoff. Which is why his GAA even after 5 goals being scored on him in one game is currently 1.67? Yeah. 1.67 goals a game sucks guys!!!
regwinguofmfan 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Once again, for the slower people on here. He has had a few games in these playoffs he did not play well. Last night was one of them. I am alot more comfortable with Osgood than Hasek. He handles the puck alot better and you know what you are gonna get from him. A solid effort every single game.
