It's kinda sad that site admins have to do this kind of thing though.. what's even worse is how much money that spammers actually cost everyone with their BS. Clogging network bandwidth, and eating up network appliance resources are just the little things they do just by being there let alone anything else they do. to spammers. Matt 1,048 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 Unfortunately this doesn't prevent them from accessing the site in general... just prevents posting. The bulk of them hit the site around 12-2am ET... So at least a percentage of the slowdowns during the playoff games last month that were out west and ending could be attributed to that (in addition to the regular surge in traffic.)
