screw that bastard then ....... colorado ?? ya i know he's had history but they got no chance in winning the cup with their goaltending problems

They can have him. Sure, I'd love it if we nabbed him but he's so brittle these days. He was an absolute bust for the Preds and I'm sure there's a good chance he'll be injured again or a non-factor.

Finally, some good news!

What's he doing trying to get a three-year deal anyway? That guy's done!

According to Bruce Garrioch, the Colorado Avalanche and the Ottawa Senators are Peter Forsberg's preferred destinations. Citing "two NHL sources", it's believed that Forsberg would want a 3 year deal at $5 million a year. Garrioch adds that the Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks have a shot at the oft-injured star. GM Bryan Murray has asked fellow Swede Daniel Alfredsson to make a call to persuade Forsberg to join the Senators.

He can f*** off if he wants a 3-year deal

He's insane if he thinks he's worth a 3 year deal at almost 5 million a year. He hasn't been worth those numbers for almost 6 years now.

The whole Forsberg saga is getting ridiculous, dating all the way back to the Flyers collapse last season. I'm so sick of hearing about him. Either sign with a team already (that being anybody but the Wings), or retire. Anything to put an end to the Forsberg media chapter.

I certainly hope Holland would be smart enough not to meet those demands. In my honest opinion, we don't need Floppa, or his injury baggage.

Good. Im glad as hell that we're not in the running for this bum. Sure he's a great hockey player. But no way this guy even plays 30 games this season. I hope to GOD that he doesnt go to Ottawa. Cause I actually kinda like the Sens. However, I still have a decent amount of hatred for the Avs. So hopefully Flopsberg goes back to Colorado. That way I can hate him, and the team he plays for.

I dunno about that man. Theodore has been playing lights out lately. And Budaj is atleast a semi-reliable goaltender. So with the team they've put together this year, I see them definitely being somewhat of a threat. IMO they are playoff bound. And anything can happen once you're in the post-season. So yeah, Forsberg going to Colorado isn't that foolish at all really.

Colorado's defense is horrible and they can't win on the road. They sure can put the puck in the net tho. There still not in the same class as Anaheim (when healthy), Detroit, San Jose, or even Minnesota IMO

Grigs will be back in Russia by the end of November. Then you can take that foolish jersey out of your avatar.

Im going to hold out that Nashville wont mind trading with Detroit, and we can get in on either getting Legwand or Dumont for the 2nd line. If Montreals out, Ryder is another option. Im warming up to the idea of Feds too.

And...way for Colorado to address their needs in goal and defense. I guess they think if they just pile on the offense, theyll be ok.

You guys are overreacting. I won't believe any rumors until they are substantiated...And that article is nothing but rumors:

"A pair of NHL sources", "indication", "affinity" - until I actually hear something even remotely definitive from an insider in the clubs involved, or from Forsberg's agent, or even from Forsberg himself then I'll believe it. Until then the race is open and as long as he's healthy I wouldn't mind him signing for Detroit for a season max.

And if he doesn't sign with Detroit I wouldn't really be insulted. But if his demands really are 3 years at 5ish M$/year then ew. He doesn't deserve that.

Oh and the talk about Foppa won't stop until he signs with a team and that's what, 2 weeks from now at least? Just ignore it - personally, I don't really care about this guy anymore , he's not worth the attention (he used to be though).

just venting about how much you hate this guy. Have fun.

Yeah I agree. They are not on our level. But I do see them sneaking into the 7th or 8th spot. Although, it would be so frickin funny to me if Colorado misses the playoffs 2 seasons in a row. That would be great.

Dumont or Ryder =

Do you think Nashville you trade Legwand? I'd take him too.

I would be jumping off the walls if we got Dumont. The guy is so underrated. He knows how to score, and his overall awareness is top notch. IMO Dumont would fit in perfectly with our system. Man that would be sweet.
