Grittzkey 1 Report post Posted November 22, 2007 I liked how Drake played today. Hudler looked great to bad no dice but 1 assist. Franzen and Sammy didnt look bad. Sucks that Koko got injured, but im going to be syked about Drake/Downey/Hudler. tha'd be sick. but i almost bet ellis gets the nod. Overall i was impressed by, Kronner/Hudler the most. They work quite a bit less hard when the game is in hand already. However, what we really lack on the power play is a finisher. We've got lots of good shooters, but nobody with a booming shot. They did a Mike Modano tribute night for him being the highest scoring American player, very touching and nice. Phil Housely (who held the record before) was there and Bret Hull, of course. Stars played badly for 2 periods (loooong pregame ceremony and all) and then decided to win it for Mike. They shut the Ducks down in the third. Way too much fun. Good for Ozzie on the shut out v. Manny. Sound like the Wings decided to play for him, too, last night. No game day thread today, but I am expecting a loss. I am afraid we see the total opposite of the STL game tonight v. Nashville. Big let down, sloppy effort, Wings all sad because they are missing Thanksgiving at home. Dom has had no luck this season at all, so it's a good thing Ozzie is flying high. I hope the Wings prove me wrong. Here's to another 12 save shut out for Dom tonight . Yeah, I said shut out! It will cement him as eighth all time in the NHL. I don't believe I can jinx him anymore than he already is. They all count the same no matter how many he faced. are you implying that it was easier because of the lack of shots? Just trying to provide a little bit of balance to the overwhelming support for Ozzie, vs. the Death to Dom campaign in here. But whatever... what happens, happens. Like I've said before, hockey is a "what have you done for me lately" kind of thing. I am glad for Ozzie. Just wish it wasn't happening at Hasek's expense, is all. I understand the vindication factor, but do wish people would remember that Dom isn't a criminal, just had a streak of bad luck. Ozzie doesn't win hockey games alone, anymore than Dom loses all of them alone. Don't worry, I don't expect fairness in this. Have fun tonight!!! Go, Wings!!! Other than to imply it was an easy one? you are the queen of passive aggressive comments when it comes to goalies. pointing out when the puck hits a post and Ozzy didnt make a save. pointing out the low shot total on a shutout. And your "support" for Ozzy is pretty transparent. I wonder if Dom gets a 12 shot shutout if you'd post the number of shots. Or maybe you'd complain about how people try and not give him credit for it because of the low shot total and how unfairly Dom is always treated in your eyes. Ozzy is playing well Dom isn't. Not saying that won't change, but that's the way it is right now, no matter how much you campaign for Dom, it doesn't change that.
