BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 This has never really been talked about, but junior hockey is some great hockey. Weather it's college, OHL, WHL, QMJHL... These kids rule. My favourite team... The Windsor Spitfires. I almost like them as much as the Wings. and TAYLOR HALL IS THE FUTURE. Watch.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 St Johns Fog Devils. Luke Adam is a family friend of mine and Mario Kempe is the next Kristian Huselius. Plus it's my hometown team. I really liked the Medicine Hat Tigers last year, Helm, Russel, Keetley, the Dorsetts. They were a fun team to watch.

T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 London Knights! Brendan Shanahan (his #19 retired), Rick Nash, Sam Gagner, Patrick Kane, Rob Schremp, Dan Fritsche, Correy Perry, Sergei Kostitsyn, Steve Mason, Danny Syvret.... they're a good team every year, first in their conference the past 4 seasons........ When they played host to the Memorial Cup and won it was electrifying, considering it was also the same year that Crosby's Rimouski Oceanic were in it.... Icer 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 Weather it's college, OHL, WHL, QMJHL... These kids rule. Michigan State Hockey is the main reason I got interested in hockey in the first place. But I wouldn't consider them a junior team so I'd have to go with the Grand Rapids Owls.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 Anything at least a step below the pro level, I'd consider junior. That's just me. Is college hockey technically considered "junior"?

BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. I wintered in Sydney, NS 05-06 and saw quite a few games. Damn, Crosby's first NHL season and he already had a city named after him in his province?
BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 Anything at least a step below the pro level, I'd consider junior. That's just me. Is college hockey technically considered "junior"? No. The junior leagues and NCAA hockey are different.

up2here 41 Report post Posted January 3, 2008 Damn, Crosby's first NHL season and he already had a city named after him in his province? Now dont go associating Sid with those damn cape bretoners Its bad enough we had to watch him play junior hockey in Rimouski.
hawkupaloogie 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 college isn't really junior, but if we're talking non-pro, my favourite team is easily the northern michigan wildcats. i wasn't much of a college fan until i went to northern, but there's just something about the college game that is extremely addictive. GO CATS!
arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 I dont currently have one, but back in the late 80's - mid/late 90's, the Kamloops Blazers were unbelievable to watch. At one time, they had produced more NHL players than any other city in the world. Was pretty amazing to watch. Mark Recchi (ATL), Shane Doan (PHX), Jarome Iginla (CGY), Darcy Tucker (TOR), Scott Niedermayer (ANA), Rob Brown (ret.), Kyle Calder (PHI), Darryl Sydor (PIT), Colton Orr (NYR), Scottie Upshall (PHI), Brad Lukowich (NJ), Robyn Regehr (CAL) are some of the more noticeable names. ... and coaches ... Tom Renney (NYR), and Ken Hitchcock (CLB)
Opie 308 Report post Posted January 4, 2008 The reigning QMJHL CHAMPION LEWISTON MAINEIACS!!!!! I am hoping Guys like Bernier, Picard, and Denny will soon be in the bigs and hopefully play major roles, it looks like Bernier is well on his way, but it would be nice to see some of the other guys make an impact. When I lived in Auburn, ME (Lewiston and Auburn are jokingly referred to as the twin cities) watching a Lewiston Vs. Drakkar Baie Comeau game was like watching a 12 round title bout!
