Getting a little nervous, Detroit fans?

Just wondering if a crushing loss like that has raised the fear factor any.

Doo bee doo bee doo.

Maybe a bit of frustration because we didn't end it last night but really what is there to be nervous about. If it weren't for MAF, and a bad clear by Kronwall we are still drinking Champagne from the Cup right now. We were down right horrific in the first but after that MAF was the only Penguin on the ice worth talking about. After what we all saw happen yesterday Pens fans should be fearful... the Red Giant is coming to town and we want blood!

OP, did the crushing losses in games 1 and 2 deflate your guys a little?

hmmm?

hmmm?

please, go sit on Crosby's hockey stick and spin.

I'd say the Pens bounced back rather nicely from those first two losses.

As for Crosby's stick -- perhaps he'll use it to score the winning goal tomorrow.

Ya just never know.

Perhaps you missed the big city wide rally and "fair weather" grass-roots effort that forced the City Council to give in to the new arena demands? Oh I guess you were busy that day.

You could look at Malkin's slump as proof of his incompetence... or you could say the Pens are breathing down the Wings' necks right now, without Malkin having shown up yet. Imagine what happens if he does?

Anyway, hats off to both teams for providing one of the best hockey spectacles ever.

What on earth could possibly wake this tool up now? He's already made excuses about his legs being tired.

He has been a complete non-factor from the tight-checking Detroit brings every night.

And suddenly, after a 3OT game he's going to find the energy to bring his game up 4 notches? Give me whatever you're smoking.

And don't think for a second that anyone in that city would have given two-craps and a piss about the Penguins if Crosby wasn't there.

The fact that you had to have a pathetic rally to keep your team speaks volumes.

The only one that should be nervous is the Pens. The were dominated from the third period on to the Pens GWG. Detroit is fine, we're the better team, and (from looking at last night) the more healthy team.

I'm only nervous about the shyt-poor officiating. They heavily favored the Pens last night while putting their whistles away when Pens trip, kneed, or obstructed Detroit. A couple "goalie interference" phantom calls... and Detroit still battled. I love my Detroit Red Wings. They battle. Pens are a one year wonder after this.

You (pen fan) should send the Refs a thank you card and a box of cholocates after last nights game ;)

yeah, you said it. took the words right off my fingertips.

Doo bee doo bee doo.

No, because our team is better than yours.

I would watch my mouth bud, we need one more win, and it's coming to us game 6.

I will bet my soul.

Nope..not so much.

We've lost two games each series of the playoffs, but only two. And when it comes down to it, the wings know how to win. Congratulations on the win last night, it was a hell of a game. But, IMO, your guys got some help from our guys. I don't see that happening again. I'm not saying I think it'll be easy, but I know that we can win this.

Oh..and let's be honest. Fleury is the only reason the Pens are still in this. If he has an off night, which we have seen him have twice this series, you don't really stand a chance.

Sorry Bud, Malkin is far from showing up in this series. I actually like it better when he is on the ice, cause you know a big juicy turnover is about to go the Wings way.

And am I nervous? Naw, not really - the Pens have been outplayed in every game of this series - they don't deserve the Cup thus far, and as Don Cherry says - the Hockey gods tend to even things out.

Wings in 6 - Hopefully you will be in attendance.

I don't know if you've noticed, but Malkin is completely exhausted. The Pens would be better off without him in the lineup. Seriously. You can't honestly believe he'll be a factor.

awesome you took Crosby's nuts out of your mouth long enough to comment after a win. To answer your question no. Not nervous. I like to find positives in negatives. We lost yeah it happens. You gave Dats his first goal of the Stanley Cup finals. If you couldn't tell that kinda motivated him the rest of the game, so I really dont see that being his last. The Wings still had more in their tank at the end of that game than the Pens did and they are the "old guys".

I don't know if exhausted is a strong enough word. I mean, did you see him on his knees, completely out of breath? (and crosby not in front of him) He's shot. Not only is there nothing in the tank, there's no tank.

Crushing? LOL

I'm always nervous about a game, especially for the Cup.

Did last night's loss make me lose any faith in the Wings ability to kill the Penguins and take the Cup?

Heck no.

I believe in my team.

Aside from being completely and utterly shafted on those bogus Goaltender Intereference calls last night. I think we played amazingly. Totally outplayed and outchanced them.

Tons of bad breaks though.

As much as I would have LOVED to see them take the Cup at home, it will be just as sweet, if not sweeter, to win it on the Penguins' ice.

As this series progresses, it's very difficult to not believe that Bettman has it out for Detroit, and has his panties in a knicker for Crosby. He wants the Penguins' to win the cup so badly, it's sickening.

GO WINGS!

Pitt has all the momentum in the world IMO. Course Detroit comes out on fire in game 6 and that could dissipate to meaning nothing very quickly.

As others have said to me (and you continually act like an ass) over at Letsgoblues:

"That was a very nice diplomatic post, now piss off and die."

Crushing? Losing a close game that we dominated and would have won if not for bad calls, bad bounces, and a bad penalty is not exactly crushing. Crushing is being handed back to back shutouts when your offense is supposed to be all that.

Babcock will watch the tape, realize we had jack s*** for pressure in front of the net and adjust. Once he fixes that and we get someone up in Flower's grill again instead of trying to play run and gun hockey we'll go back to handling your beat up, exhausted pups with ease.

"The only thing I am worried about...is getting a boner" sorry I couldn't resist. That is a Michael Scott quote, from the Office.

But honestly, I guess I am the only one, but yeah I am nervous. I'm not saying the sky is falling, or it's all over, but I definitely feel anxious. I mean anytime you have oyur foot on your opponent's neck and then take it off, anything can happen. Even though I am convinced Detroit is the better team, a couple lucky bounces here and there and anything can happen. If the Pens somehow manage to win game 6, anything can happen in game 7. So while I am still confident in the Wings abilities, I don't think this series is as over as some of my fellow Wings (and I guess some Penguins) fans think it is.
