TBH, it really looks as though he's at peace with his decision. He's been smiling the entire time he's been on stage.

God love him... everyone else turns off their cell phone, except Dom. Even in his departure, he's still Dom.

This was a nice send-off and nice thoughts from a true team player and a man of integrity. He knows he doesn't have the juice to win it all for his team, so he's stepping away with dignity. He was lucky to resurrect his career more than once, and the Wings were incredibly lucky to have had one of the greatest -- I believe, the greatest -- goalie of his era in a winged wheel. His teammates all showing up for his sendoff says a lot, too, I think. Class move from a classy group of guys, as usual.

For an incredibly private person like Dom to get up there and express his love and appreciation for his beloved family and his love for his team mates.... I am a puddle here. It would be difficult for me to name another human being (whom I will never really know) more than I love this man. There will never be another like him, and I have loved every second, every high and every low, for the last 16 years.

God bless and best of everything to my Dominator. Simply the best.

Can you believe what Rich Winter did? Calling Dom and saying "the Wings want you back", and then calling Ken and saying "Dom wants to come back." Unbelievable. I guess that's the kind of chutzpah it takes to be a player agent. I'm glad I don't know him personally, I'd hate him.
