theman19 47 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 That list is just plain dumb. Boston has a very loyal fan base and if they start becoming a good franchiese instead of just an average franchise you'll see them out in force. They've just been swept under the rug a bit by the patroits, and red sox who've been dominate as of late.
Anomalously 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 I love the Bruins. Savard, Bergeron, Chara, and Lucic are some of my favorite players not on the Wings.
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 The Bruins' low rank doesn't surprise me. Sox, Celtics, and Patriots all recent champions in their respective leagues. The Bruins easily fourth in New England market.
theman19 47 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 Here's another tid bit. "Barry Sanders, one of the greatest running backs of all time, retired early because he could no longer put up with the Lions' losing ways. At least the "Motor City" has the Pistons to get behind. (AP Photo/Lenny Ignelzi)" Hey jackA#$ the most successful team in Detroit doesn't play basketball.
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 If this were an ESPN poll the bottom 20 would be all NHL teams.
IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 Agreed that this list is stupid. Don't the Lions sell out everygame??? Also, somebody cares about every team. There is always a small extremely loyal group of fans. I don't like this list. Appearantly I am feeling defensive today!!!!
zata40 3 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 If this were an ESPN poll the bottom 20 would be all NHL teams. that's so true. except they would try to put all 30 teams in the bottom

Guest mindfly Report post Posted July 26, 2008 (edited) I'm actually a Dolphins fan I feel so alone... atleast we got the 1st overall in the draft but it will be tough future ahead of us.. but we will be back... we're the only team who had a perfect season so far and then we went 1-15 last year bad bad...we're missing a real solid QB and some fast f*ckers on the sides. haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 Stupid list. If all those teams were winning, it would be a different story. well yeah, of course. I don't have a problem with the Lions being #4. They've been a non-factor for so long, I can't imagine why anyone outside of Detroit would care about them. Meanwhile the Wings, Pistons, and even Tigers have all had recent success. DyingAlive 27 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 I don't think the Rays can be on that list anymore. Their popularity and attendance has sky-rocketed lately.

WingsallTheway 383 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 cincinatti bengals...what the hell... theyre an amazing team, and with chad johnson stirring up so much around the league , they should definately not be on that list
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 Ditto on the Wizards - never heard of them. Had to think about the Bobcats too - didn't know Charlotte had a team in any sport (maybe they shouldn't). Lions deserve to be on the list - outside of Detroit - they are a non-factor and never mentioned on NFL talk shows. When I played fantasy - nobody in the league had Lions players - and for good reason....
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 Come to think of it, I don't know why the Wizards are up there. They're an MLS team and based on that, every MLS team could have been on the list. That's why lists like this are stupid and idiotic. There's no pattern to them.
LeftWinger 5,153 Report post Posted July 26, 2008 ...why don't they make a list of sports writers noone cares about? Obviously, they polled people outside of the home city, the Lions have plenty of support here in Detroit. As I am sure the Princeton mens team does at Princton... ...they are mostly right about ME personally though. For me, if it's not a local Michigan team, I don't care about them, especially if they are the OTHER 29 Hockey teams... ...and for the record ANY and I mean ANYTHING that has to do with Soccer or Golf for that matter... ...but yeah, stupid idea for a sports poll by this guy... ...how about the top 5 cable companies people hate? I believe Comcast would rank in that catagory!
