This Is Bida 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 GOD do I hate having to work during so many Wings games. Looks like I'll have to DVR it. I'm very interested to see how the jerseys will look. Now if only we could get some damn ticket pricing info on the actual game!
CrossoverThrash 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 I believe the Hawks games are on the "local" version of WGN, and that they won't be aired on WGN America. Hmmm, well i think i probably get WGN local anyways, but ill be watching the FSN feed, thats bs that they wont show the Hawks nationally.
superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) The Frozen Pond, which is a NHL memorabilia store in Toronto, sent me a flyer for the season. They have pictures of all the jerseys including the thirds that have been unveiled thus far. It also shows the Winter Classic jerseys. Chicago's looks to be a throwback to the mostly black jersey. The Wings, if this is true, will wear a white jersey with a red stripe across the middle with the while old D in the middle as the logo and the current logo is on each shoulder! So it seems to be a variant of the inagural jerseys. Again, this is just speculation, but the Frozen Pond is a very reliable place. We will soon know for sure though! superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 Potential Template for WC Jerseys The JERSEY might look like this, with current Red Wings logos on each shoulder, the pants and socks probably will not look like these.
REDHASEK 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 They said the year that the jersey is from is 1926. I heard that watching the game!

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) I LOVE this jersey. But you can't find them for sale anywhere. I found one place for a ridiculous price and they were out of stock for over a year. Don't know if they ever got any in stock. Hopefully they will release an original version and not a crappy EDGE version for Christmas. EDIT: I'm referring to the original Cougar jersey, though this variation might be cool. Matt 1,049 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 Keating just flashed a scrunched up one before the commerical break... It's got a tie-up. (YES! Always wanted a Wings' sweater with a laced collar.)

Booster313 138 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 Awesome Jersey!!! I love it...now the only decision. What player do I get??? Too bad they are only selling that at overpriced.nhl.com! They will probably run 175 for the replica.

LeftWinger 5,153 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 ...Cool, I like the laces. Just one question, Chelios is wearing ours, who let the pre-teens wear the Hawks jersey's?
Barrie 900 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 If we ever get a 3rd jersey, that should be it.
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 My only complaint is that the years don't match. Oh, and that jersey didn't actually have a lace-up collar. Otherwise, freakin' sweet. THAT my friends is a retro jersey. Candy-cane stripes be damned. This is excellent. Props to the Blackhawks too.

Would have been BEST if they went with the original winged-wheel jersey (with the smaller logo/larger wheel) but it's s***loads better than the candy-cane ones they used in 1991-2. Just wish they didn't have the winged wheel logos on the shoulders, kinda tarnishes the vintage look. Edited October 26, 2008 by Cern
redwings1914 18 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) The jersey sucks.....the D is way too big. IMO Edit--Not that that would stop me from getting one from that china website.... Edited October 26, 2008 by redwings1914
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 Absolutely love it. I'd have a personal preference to reverse it (obviously since the Wings are the road team that's not possible), but that isn't going to stop me from grabbing one of these up. Ideally i'd do without the "Winter Classic" patch. Love it!
shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2008 Big fan. Looks real nice and classy. I hope to get one of them when they are out. The toughest part will be deciding on the name and number.
