Hi. Apparently you're not familiar with our roster.

We're the Detroit Dead Things, and we believe in enforcing with the power play. ExceptLilja Hammer/Pain Train, who only unleashes his destructive fury on the truly worthy, generally demolishing them with one fell blow.

Fixed.

Conklin = DOMINANT. Wow, what a game for him. I also love that his two shutouts came in our two percieved biggest games of the season. Great special teams tonight as well. Also, you gotta love Kopecky getting on the board! Great game.

GREAT game.

They stepped up to the plate against a RED HOT team, and handed it to them like the Men vs the Boys. THIS is the team that we've been so desperate to see. Cool, calm, but with a passion to win.

Next up, Wrigley Field!!!!

Glad the boys took this one, as I have a feeling the league will see to it that the Winter Classic is a lot closer (if you know what I mean).

The Hawks power play looked pretty good moving the puck around but the defense was extremely solid and Conklin was lights out. No odd-man rushes against that I can remember tonight and just solid in their own end all night, even without Lidstrom.

GG RED WINGS!!

Tonight's win felt almost as good as the one against the Sharks... And yes, Conklin #1 of the game for sure!

I hope we can keep seeing the wings play like that for the Winter Classic and all the way till the end of the playoffs.

G'night to you all! :D

This has to be one of the best replies ever! "unleashes his destructive fury on the truly worthy" hahahaha, made me shoot water out my nose.

Glad to see we dominated even with Nick out. Was kind of hoping for a fight at some point, but still satisfied by the Wing's play. I wonder if Kopecky reads these forums...a day or two after people mention waiving him or putting him on the trading block and he scored. lol. Conks definitely deserved to be 1st star, I'd go with player of the week after this game.

Obviously Conklin and Pavel and Franzen had great games but I thought Rafalski, who's been strictly mediocre for most of the year, had an uncharacteristically strong game and is, as ever, an excellent PP quarterback. If he can get the motor running, then we'll be in business on the blue line.

Agreed 100%. Maybe Nick being hurt is kind of a blessing in disguise, because it thrusts Rafalski into the #1 defenseman role and forces him to step up and play smarter out there. Hopefully, he keeps it up.

Agreed. Rafalski was a beast tonight, in all aspects of the game.

The boys looked great tonight. It was awesome to see them dominate a game like they use to. Even better was seeing them do it without Nick in the lineup.

Conks played great and i hope that this was a turning point for him in the nets. The D finally looked like the D we have been so use to in the last several seasons.

All around great game. I can't wait for the classic. Tonight got a little chipy at times and i hope to see this rivalry really take off like the good old days.

Agreed on Rafalski, he was solid today, like the first game of the season, maybe he gets the "space" he needs..or something.. when lidstrom is out?
