I like the defensive system that Columbus is playing especially because our defense coach, Brad McCrimmon, can't realize the system Detroit is currently playing with is standard bulls*** play, throw the puck up the boards, play a weak box, no flushing out guys behind the net.

Anyways, the Red Wings probably won't win the Cup this year. If Detroit gets to the Western Conference final I doubt they'll take out San Jose.

You have to realize "Eva" not only shouldn't be using the terms rationale and logic, I really don't think he knows what they mean.

Has Conklin let in bad goals? f*** yes.

But the "Osgood bashing" probably has more to do with this:

Conklin - 8th among all goalies with 20 or more games with a 2.38 GAA

Osgood - 4th from last among all goalies with 20 or more games (39th to be exact) with a 3.25 GAA

Conklin - 15 among all goalies with 20 or more games with a .914

Osgood - DEAD LAST (40th to be exact) among all NHL goalies with 20 or more games with a .883

Now that may -- I am not sure -- be why there is a tendency for people to criticize Ozzie more so then they do Conklin. But what do I know anyways.

Bad defense in the 1st led to two cheap tip-in goals and the floodgates of hell opened up from there. It was an avalanche of suck. I won't lie, he was crap tonight but so was everyone else. I mean, just sluggish play and s***ty turnovers left and right.
