This game will be a tough test. Even though the Flames are slumping right now, we cannot call the Wings play good right now. Good thing is that Conklin is spectacular in JLA while the Flames are struggling in JLA.

Stop playing lazy hockey and being angry against the Flames. The way to win is not a talent but it is an effort and passion for the win.

Go Hockeytown

Wings win, Hank with the hat trick......you know the deal by now.

I just hope this game has a tad more energy than the last one did. Granted a tad more energy would put it at the level of a dying AA battery, but it's better than flatlining.

ain't worried at all...

After the last game they interviewed Franzen and Franzed said that thet treat a game with Calgary like a play off game.

So Franzen finally said why they play as they play - they "select" teams who are worth of champs attention. Simple. Reason is not "fire assistant coach, lack of grit or poor goalies". The reason is that there are only handful teams whom Red Wings takes seriously.

Sounds like someone needs to motivate the boys, "we only really try when we decide that we have to" is not an acceptable attitude, no matter how good your team happens to be. Walter Payton is rolling in his grave.

Wings 3: Flip, Mule, Dats

Conks fails to be within 150' of a red light.

(Hossa projected back next game. Homer on 3rd line until he's 100%, from what I hear.)

I thought Hossa was coming back tonight?? any update for when he's coming back?

Per MLive -

"Update from Wednesday's practice: Marian Hossa said his neck is still a little stiff, so he won't play Thursday against Calgary. He is hoping to return for Saturday's game in St. Louis, which ironically is where he was injured on March 3."

"I don't feel comfortable turning,'' Hossa said. "I don't want to make (his return) too quick and regret it in the long run. Take an extra day and make sure I'm 100 percent.''

It seems Oli was the key to turning the Flamers into a Stanley cup contender.... if you believe that, I have some great bridges you can buy in Brooklyn

Prediction: 4-2 wings.
